Reina woke up to see Lorcan combing his long hair in front of the Mirror.
She was so upset that she didn't want to speak to him but it would be disrespectful not to greet His Highness. Just as she was about to open her mouth Lorcan greeted.
"Good Morning My Lady." Lorcan greeted. He looked at her through the Mirror.
"Good Morning Your Highness." She replied with a heated voice and climbed out of the bed going to the Bathroom.
"Is anything wrong?." He asked then she stopped walking.
"No!, nothing is wrong." She said with her back now facing him.
"Are you angry about anything My Lady?." He walked to her.
"No I'm fine Your Highness." She replied with her arms across her chest.
"I wouldn't be coming here tonight.."he halted when she cut him off.
"And if I need anything the maids would be here isn't it?. Yes I get it. You can as well not come back at all." She entered the bathroom and slammed the door shut. She knew what she did was wrong and disrespectful but she was too angry to care.
Lorcan just stood shocked at her attitude. He shrugged and smirked then he walked out of the room.
She got dressed and called for Livia. She had asked for a Quill and a Roll Royal letter paper.
She remembered that she hadn't communicated with Xenia for days now and she needed to write to her. She sat waiting patiently for Livia to arrive with the Quill and Roll letter paper.
"It's here My Lady." Livia walked to her and gave her the writing materials.
"Thank you Livia." Reina said to her then she went to sit at the table close to the window.
"Can I leave My Lady?" Livia asked still standing.
"No,not yet Livia. Please sit." Reina said with her eyes on the paper.
She began to write.
"Dear Xenia, I've missed you for days now and I've missed Mother too. Please send my regards tell her I miss her and that she should write to me. I'm certain my naughty brothers has been disturbing her a whole lot.
Staying without you even for a day is hard but what can I do. I'm now married into another kingdom.
I've missed every moments and laughters we've shared.
I know what you must be thinking. Well, he hasn't touched me yet. He seems to be a good man not what I thought he was.
Seems getting to know him would be worth it.
He's treated me nicely since I came here and he hasn't for once forced himself unto me.
Wishes do come true after all. But I just feel sad that he's got mistresses. He's not romantic. He has no time for me at all, Not like I'm jealous but he's my husband and I've got every right to feel this way.
I'd be up tonight to make a wish on the shooting star. Just hope it works.
Write to me soon.
I love you Xenia."
She rolled the letter sealing it with The Seal of Samai then she tied a thread around it and gave it to Livia.
"Here. This is a letter to My Personal Maid and Friend Make sure it gets to her." She gave it to her.
"Yea My Lady." Livia bowed
"Where is His Highness, My husband." She asked facing her.
"He went for horse riding My Lady." Livia replied.
Reina wasn't expecting that. She thought he had gone to be with one of his Mistresses.
"Can I ask something?." Reina tilted her head.
"Yes My Lady."
"Does His Highness have wives or Mistresses? I haven't seen any around him yet." She raised a brow.
"I'm not in the position to answer that My Lady. I think you should ask His Highness himself." She replied politely.
"Okay. You may leave now." She stood up and walked to the bed while Livia bowed and left the Chamber.
On her way to send the letter across to Xenia she bumped into Lorcan. She was in a rush to send the letter that she didn't know when she ran into him falling the letter to the ground.
"I'm so sorry Your Highness." She bowed to pick up the letter that was in between his feet.
"That's Alright." He knew she was in a hurry but to where? His eyes went to her hand. He knew that was a Royal letter and Maids or Guards had no privileges of writing in it.
"Who is that for?." He said looking at it.
"It's from Princess Reina to her personal maid, Your Highness." She bowed.
"Let me have a look." He brought his hand out to her.
Livia stood with her heads down as Lorcan read the letter silently with a serious face.
After reading the whole letter he gave it to her.
"Do well by giving it to her." He walked out and Livia left as well.
It was evening now and it was time to have Dinner. A maid brought in a tray of food to her Chambers. She ate it slowly even when she didn't feel like. She ate cause the maid begged. She was told if she went to bed hungry The maid would lose her Job. They were all so scared of Lorcan that they did everything he asked.
After having few chews she dismissed the Maid. She needed to be alone. She hoped and prayed Xenia would write to her the following morning cause she really needed someone to talk to.
She walked to the window seat and sat down looking at the dark sky filled with stars.
Thoughts ran through her mind just then she spotted a shooting star.
Should she make a wish? What if it wouldn't come true? He has mistresses already so what's the use? He can't be hers alone.
Since she was a kid she hated sharing her things with her annoying brothers now she felt really bad that she'd have to share her husband as well.
He wouldn't be with her all the time. She hated it that she slept all alone in the room. This wasn't what she wished for herself.
This wasn't what she wished for. She had always wished that her life would be like those in the fairy tales but it isn't.
She wished for a charming knight Prince and she's found one. She's found Lorcan but the love wasn't there.
She didn't love him. She knew she had to try to cause he was now her husband but he wasn't helping. She felt he only married her for political reasons.
Even if he didn't have a wife now she was more than certain that he would after having a night with her. He married her for political reasons so even if he didn't love her it wouldn't be a surprise to her cause Her Father forced her into this for the same reason.
She prayed that even if he'd be getting a second wife. He should do that after a year or more cause she didn't want to have unnecessary fights with her.
Xenia had always told her that a man would lose value and love for their wives once they've slept with them.
Kings and Princes would always have more than one wife so it wouldn't be a surprise to her if she saw Lorcan with a woman.
She closed her eyes and wished silently. Then she slowly opened her eyes to see Lorcan beside her.
"Your Highness." She said as she looked at him. Then he walked behind her and held her waist whispering to her.
"Yy..your Highness." She stuttered and stiffened.
"Ww..what are you doing.?" She asked
"What is it My Lady?" He smirked and left to sit besides her.
"Nn..nothing Your highness." She almost forgot to breath and she was panting. Her heart was now pounding.
"You were the one that said I'm not romantic." He tilted his head and sneered.
"I never said that Your Highness." She looked down to her hands. Then he let out a short chuckle.
"Why are you here Your highness? You said.." she was cut off.
"I know what I said. I came back when I realized you weren't happy about it." His hazel eyes wasn't leaving hers.
"I.." she was cut off again.
"Your attitude that Morning said it all My Lady." He leaned in whispering.
"I'm sorry Your Highness. I just wasn't in the right mood." She looked away
"You weren't? Or you were jealous?" He looked away from her.
"I wasn't Your Highness. You're a Prince You've got every right to have Mistresses and I've got no right to be Jealous." She played with her fingers.
"But I'm your husband." He replied.
"Well you don't act like I'm your Wife Your highness." She felt the urge to tell him everything that had been bothering her. Should she? Or she shouldn't?
