They drove to the address in the Free Quarter. Dusk was starting to creep in on the city and Jack kept feeling like eyes were on them everywhere they turned.
'It's up on the next right,' Amon announced.
Ava looked at Jack and held up her crossed fingers.
'This neighborhood looks familiar,' Jack said, as they slowed to a halt. 'I think I wandered through here after I—' His guts twisted with sudden recognition. 'Oh no. It's that place there, isn't it?'
The car had parked outside an old, run-down movie theatre. A faded sign read: Cinema Sheen.
Amon checked a piece of paper. 'This is the place. But an old movie theatre? Sheen, Sheen… ' He frowned. 'Sounds like it's Australian.'
'But it's not, it's meaningless.' Ava swore. 'No, not meaningless. It's a clue. Cinema Sheen. An anagram of "Medicine Man".'
'No one likes a smart-ass, love,' Amon chided, but he was smiling.
