Chapter 7 - Parus City (1)

'Parus city huh? I don't even know what country or even continent I'm in. Realistically the only thing I know is that this world is called "Avallus".' Hajin sighed internally. He already knew it would be suspicious if he started excessively asking about the world but he decided that it wouldn't be too bad to ask about the city that he's in.

"Uh, I don't know what Parus City is or where it is." Hajin said nervously.

Leo frowned and stared at Hajin before replying.

"Parus city is pretty popular you know, now that I think of it, I carried you out of the North Holt and apparently there are a bunch S rank monsters there, what were you even doing in a place like that?" Leo asked.

'North Holt? Is that the forest I was in? And I have no idea about ranks yet but I assume S rank is high because of the novels I've read.' Hajin thought.

"I don't know, I just woke up there and I couldn't remember a thing. Then that monster came at me over what I assume was the fruit and tried to kill me."

Hajin proceeded to narrate his experience in the North Holt to Leo while the latter just rubbed his chin while nodding his head.

"So basically you remember nothing about this world," Leo mumbled.

After some thought, he nodded his head.

"Parus City is a city known for its colosseums and its abundance of Knights. Parus City is located at the border of the Northern Continent. Parus city currently has 3 C ranks which are the strongest beings in the city. If you want to learn more I can give you a map of the city so you can find the library". Leo offered.

'This is perfect! In the library, I won't only easily find out a lot about this city but I can find out stuff about the entire world!'

Hajin smiled as multiple thoughts swirled around his mind before he nodded.

"That would be great, maybe that way I can remember something!" Hajin exclaimed.

Leo smiled before nodding his head.

"I will give you the map once your injuries are completely healed." Leo said.

Hajin frowned remembering the fact that he now had a class.

"Um, actually," Hajin said while getting out of the other side of the bed, "I'm already completely healed."

As if to back up what he said, Hajin jumped up and down a couple of times and even punched his bandaged areas. Shock spread on Leo's face for a couple of seconds before the took a breath and his facial expression returned to normal.

"Then let me get you a wearable set of clothes then I'll give you the map so you can head out," Leo said weakly. "Stay in the room while I get the stuff."

Hajin sat back down at the edge of the bed while Leo walked out of the room. While Hajin waited for Leo to return, he would keep checking his status and thinking about everything that had happened.

"Despite going to another world and already almost dying, I'm not as surprised as I feel like I should be." Hajin muttered.

While Hajin was surprised that he had fought a monster, he wasn't extremely surprised. if anything, it had felt normal, almost as if it was his duty. He felt fear but his body never froze for a second and his mind was running at lightspeed. Although everything was shocking to him it wasn't fascinating. Hajin sighed before throwing his head back.

"If I'm not surprised now I'll be surprised later when I'm fighting actual demons" Hajin sighed before standing up.

Leo walked into the room holding folded clothes with a rolled up paper. After walking to the bed and leaving the stuff there he looked at Hajin.

"I'll wait outside the room, dress up, and ill show you the way out of the house."

Hajin nodded and watched him walk out of the room before changing into the new clothes. The clothes consisted of a simple white button up which Hajin left untucked with brown pants and black boots. After putting everything on Hajin picked up the map and inspected it. The map was the only map of Parus City and show everything major. From the looks of it, Hajin was currently on the outskirts of the city. In the center of the city, a large arena was illustrated which Hajin assumed was the colosseum that Leo spoke about. There were other areas that were marked but since Hajin had to go, he decided he would review them once he came to the library. Hajin opened the door and Leo began walking down the hallway. Hajin followed him while looking around. there were paintings and weapons hung up on the brown walls in the hallway. Leo led Hajin through a door that led outside.

"The map has a mark showing where you are now, just follow the way to the library which is also marked." Leo said before going back inside. Hajin sighed and glanced at the map again before starting towards the library.
