Samuel entered the estate in a good mood. He just got a call from an unknown number, and when he found that it was Kate, he made up an excuse and hung up on her. He could envision her cursing him out, but he didn't care. Just imagining her face cracked him up.
Although he dreaded their subsequent encounter, he still wanted to freak her out for the time being. It was already noon when he arrived at the main mansion. He wanted to see what Elise was up to, but before he could look around, Arthur came up to him to remind him about the family meeting, which he completely forgot about.
" You should head there first, they had been waiting for an hour at this point and they don't look happy about it." Arthur gave him a heads-up.
" Do you know why?" He asked.
" I don't know. They didn't tell me anything substantial."
