During her grandfather's reign, Elizabeth was third in the line of succession to the British throne, behind her uncle Edward and her father. Although her birth generated public interest, she was not expected to become queen, as Edward was still young and likely to marry and have children of his own, who would precede Elizabeth in the line of succession.
As Margeret decided to marry into the Rothchild family, her succession rights were voided, but there was never bad blood between them. Contrary to public opinion, they were very close to each other and often met for tea parties at Buckingham Palace.
A few weeks ago, Queen received the formal request from her sister to lease the palace for an important occasion which she clearly know about, as Margaret had told her the details regarding the boy. She was surprised to hear the details, and wanted to meet the famous author who took London by storm. She also read through the fable book and was very impressed by him.
