REN puffed a cloud of smoke as he leaned on the ledge of his terrace. He had a glass of whiskey in his one hand. His last task had been arduous, and he was ready to sacrifice his life to reach his main objective—to kill Howie Cheng. Fortunately, he succeeded. The old man didn't have even the slightest doubt about his intention to kill him.
A few things bothered him before Howie died in his hands. He asked him about the incident of the death of his family five years ago, but Howie denied his involvement. Ren did not believe him because he was so furious. Ren could still remember how he held his children's dead bodies, and as a father, no words could ever soothe that pain.
Ren stabbed Howie's heart in silence, and his guards were unaware. They failed to check the blade under his shoes, and they probably did not consider him a threat since he had been going in and out of the house. Luckily, Ren was already away when they found Howie's body.
