Cherry and Hoshiko are training in a forest in The Earth Section. They're doing a friendly spar.
"Just so you know Cherry, I'll be going all out. You know what I expect of you right?"
"Yeah. For me to do the same."
They both raise their aura. Cherry grows large tree roots from the ground. They rush towards Hoshiko.
Hoshiko coats her right foot with her light aura. She kicks towards that direction, bursting the roots. She then kicks the ground, causing it to rumble and break towards Cherry.
Cherry jumps up on a tree near her. Hoshiko points her hand at her. Aura raises in her hand.
She shoots a large light beam towards Cherry.
"Forest Emerge!"
Cherry's technique swiftly grows many bulky trees in front of her to block the beam. The beam hits the trees, creating a large explosion.
However, the explosion isn't stopping Cherry. Past the trees, roots start spurting out the ground and they all go towards Hoshiko.
But Hoshiko sees this as an opportunity to get closer to Cherry.
She jumps on one of the roots and with her aura raised, she runs on it. As she's closing in, Cherry gets another root to hit her. She dodges it by jumping on another root nearby. She carries on running on the new one.
"You're dodging everything!"
"This is just the start Cherry!"
Hoshiko raises her aura drastically while running. She creates three balls of light aura surround her. They shoot up to the sky. Hoshiko jumps to the sky after.
"Oh no! Not this again!"
Hoshiko then goes upside down. The balls of light aura go in her right leg. Aura surrounds her. Hoshiko then shoots down to Cherry like a shooting star.
"Starlight Stream!"
"Forest Emerge again!"
Trees cover Cherry. The Starlight Stream hits the trees, creating another explosion, but more large.
The explosion clears. Cherry is on the floor with scratches and bruises all around her, the technique weren't through the trees.
"Unlucky Cherry. Maybe one day you would beat me."
"Maybe."
Hoshiko lifts Cherry up. Suddenly, they both hear clapping. They look at the direction of the claps.
"Well what a fight that was. And of course, Cherry loses."
"Toruka, shut up!"
"You know her Cherry?"
Toruka has bandages wrapped around her right hand.
"Yeah. She fought Homura and I at the Shorai Skirmish."
"Really? Did you beat her?"
"No. She's very strong. She had Homura unable to move at one point."
"I see. Hey Toruka! What's with the bandages on your hand."
"Oh this. This is some special bandages. It helps me concentrate something. Only Nakaba's get this."
"Nakaba's? No way you-."
"That's right. I'm a Nakaba. One of the first our age group."
"Already?! Not even Kuragami or Sasaki are Nakaba's yet."
"So you see the level I'm on. That's why you couldn't beat me Cherry. You couldn't even beat her, your weak. Also look."
She points at her armband. Hoshiko is shocked.
"Her armband. No way."
"Since Daku has gone missing, I took his place as a Prodigy Disciple!"
"Daku? Hey something must've happened to him. His whole town is destroyed, everyone is dead. Could Daku be-"
"His body hasn't been found. And it wasn't him who destroyed the town. The D.O identified the aura. They know who done it."
"Really? Who was it?"
"They told me. How about, you fight me for that information Hoshiko is it?"
"Yeah. So if I beat you, you tell me who done it."
"Yeah. But, if I beat you, actually, I'll tell you after."
"Fine by me! You're going to lose anyways!"
Hoshiko light dashes towards Toruka. Toruka slaps the ground with her aura raised.
"Metal Spik Barrage!"
Many metal spikes grow from the ground. Hoshiko does well to dodge all of them with her light dash. Toruka smiles.
She dashes to Hoshiko and kicks her to the spikes. Luckily the spikes are facing upwards. So the damage isn't as bad as it could be.
The spikes fade away.
"I'm not done yet! Metal Spikes Ressurection!"
"Ressurection? Is she going to bring the spikes back up? Hoshiko has to move now!"
Metal spikes, bigger than before grow from the ground. Hoshiko swiftly gets up, raises her aura and jumps as high as she can. The spikes can't reach her.
"Now it's my turn! I have some new moves to test out."
Hoshiko raises her hand in the air while she's airborne. Aura in her hand raises drastically.
"Light Suction!"
Her aura creates a large sphere around her and Toruka.
"Hmm. What's this?"
Hoshiko stretches her aura to surround the whole sphere. Toruka just stands there.
"There's no escaping my Light Sphere. The destruction caused in this sphere, will leave you pulverized!"
The aura becomes more violent and potent.
"RELEASE!"
The aura releases, causing ultimate destruction in the sphere. It's too much to contain. Cracks start appearing at the sphere until, it shatters.
The aura projects at a large scale, even reaching Cherry.
"There's no way Toruka is still standing after that. Hoshiko, is amazing!"
Hoshiko lands on her feet.
"Now tell me, who destroyed Daku's town?"
The dust clears. Toruka is standing there, no bruises, no scratches.
"No way! Impossible! How have you done that?!"
"Simple. Any Nakaba would've easily stopped that attack."
"Really?"
"Yeah. There's a reason why there's three specific ranks. Shorai, Nakaba, Takai. To separate strength. But, there's something special about those separating ranks."
"And that is?"
"Well, as you know Takai is the strongest rank. However, it is possible for a Nakaba to beat a Takai. For a Shorai to beat a Nakaba….the chances are 0%."
Hoshiko is shocked. Cherry gasps. They both get angry.
"And what makes you so sure of that?! It makes no sense."
"It makes perfect sense. It's because of Kyanseru, the power to transcend aura. Shorai's can't use it."
"Well that's where your wrong. Check the report of our last mission. Kuragami used it."
"I'm aware. He's about to get promoted to Nakaba. Along with Sasaki and Homura if they complete their test."
"What?! Really?!"
"There's many things your not aware of. Let me just show you!"
Toruka dashes towards Hoshiko like she flickered there, a large explosion is created. They carry on fighting.
The fight ends, Hoshiko on the floor with Toruka standing above her. Cherry is healing Hoshiko.
Toruka smiles.
"Don't worry guys, I'll be a great captain."
