Chereads / A Disciples Fate / Chapter 98 - Kizoku Meeting

Chapter 98 - Kizoku Meeting

Kuragami thinks back. Everything is black and he hears the words,

"Guess who escaped Trinakai Prison recently that has a bone to pick with you."

"Crystal!"

Kuragami's fists clench, and a surge of anger courses through his veins. Without a word, she activates his Ice Coating. With a fierce determination, he dashes towards Crystal, his speed accelerating to a point beyond light itself.

The air crackles with energy as Kuragami's form becomes a blur, hurtling towards Crystal.

But just as he's about to make contact, a mysterious hooded figure comes out of nowhere. With incredible speed and precision, the hooded figure delivers a powerful kick to Crystal, sending her flying through the air.

"Who the hell was that?"

Kuragami looks back at his team

"Stay here. I need to follow them."

Without waiting for a response, he propels himself in the direction the hooded figure disappeared, his heart racing with a mix of anticipation and uncertainty.

As he's running, he sees Crystal and the hooded figure standing face to face.

More anger builds up in Kuragami. He swiftly generates his Blessed Arm. He then raises his aura drastically using one of his strongest techniques.

"Heavenly Shooting Glacier!"

Crystal looks back.

He uses which sends him flying towards Crystal like a powerful iced aura beam.

Crystal smiles and raises one hand in front of her.

"Gem Bounce."

A shining green crystal appears in front of her. Kuragami's Heavenly Shooting Glacier hits the gem directly.

Crystal uses techniques from a fight style she created, Gem React. She forms gems with her aura that deflects techniques back at the user.

If a person were to punch one of her gems, the power created from that punch through W/T is what gets deflected back.

So in this case, Kuragami's strongest technique got deflected back at him causing many forests around them to all be destroyed.

As the destruction clears, Kuragami is barely alive while Crystal and the hooded figure are gone.

Kuragami's team come to him after they saw and got affected by the explosion.

They all look horrified. Cherry goes straight to him and tries to heal him. Cold air starts coming out from his wounds.

The meeting room of the 10 Kizoku was filled with an air of tension and anticipation. Each member took their respective seats, their expressions reflecting a mix of curiosity and concern. Kiyoshi, the Inferno Disciple, stood at the front, ready to address his fellow Kizoku.

"Thank you all for being here today," Kiyoshi began, his voice steady but tinged with seriousness.

"As you are aware, our former comrade Yuma Nozomi, the seventh Kizoku, has been discovered to have formed an alliance with a dangerous individual. However, I propose that we do not make this our immediate priority."

The room erupted in whispers and murmurs, the other Kizoku exchanging curious glances. Kazuya, the Earth Disciple, leaned forward, his deep voice resonating throughout the room.

"Kiyoshi, why do you suggest we overlook such a grave matter? Yuma's actions could have dire consequences for the stability of the Disciple World."

Kiyoshi's eyes darted around the room, a hint of unease flickering in his gaze.

"I understand your concerns, but we must consider the bigger picture," he replied carefully.

"Yuma is Kuragami's brother, and though I do not condone his actions, we must approach this situation with caution."

Ruri, the Nature Disciple, tilted her head, her eyes filled with curiosity.

"Kiyoshi, are you suggesting that Kuragami's connection to Yuma could cloud our judgment? We cannot allow personal ties to interfere with the safety of the Disciple World."

Kiyoshi's expression hardened, his resolve unwavering.

"Rest assured, I am fully committed to the protection of the Disciple World," he declared. "But family bonds hold a power of their own, and I believe in the potential for redemption."

Hayaka, the Light Disciple, interjected with a soft yet determined tone.

"Kiyoshi, it is admirable that you maintain faith in the possibility of change. However, we must weigh the risks and take action accordingly."

Kiyoshi nodded, acknowledging Hayaka's words.

"Indeed, we cannot afford to be naive. Let us devise a plan to confront Yuma and address the threat he poses, all while preserving the harmony and stability of our realm."

As the room fell into a contemplative silence, the Kizoku realized the gravity of the situation. The destiny of the Disciple World rested in their hands.

As Kiyoshi quietly exited the meeting room, the remaining Kizoku exchanged glances, their expressions resolute yet tinged with concern. Ruri leaned closer to her fellow Disciples, her voice lowered to a hushed tone.

"We mustn't speak openly about the Shinsei Mission," she cautioned, her eyes flickering towards the door.

Hayaka nodded in agreement, his voice equally soft.

"Agreed. Our duty to the Disciple World supersedes personal sentiments. No matter what Kiyoshi may say or do, we must ensure the mission's completion for the sake of our realm."

Furo, the Thunder Disciple, crossed his arms and leaned back, a mischievous smirk playing on his lips.

Mizuki, the Nature Disciple, added her voice to the discussion, her tone firm yet filled with determination.

"We must remain steadfast, focused on our goal. We owe it to the Disciple World to see this mission through to its completion, no matter what obstacles we may face."

Unbeknownst to the other Kizoku, Kiyoshi had been lingering near the door, his ear pressed against it, silently eavesdropping on their conversation. As their voices faded into the distance, he slowly released a deep sigh, his brows furrowed with a mix of frustration and disappointment.

Anger simmered within Kiyoshi's heart. With a heavy heart, he turned away from the door and walked off, seeking solace in the solitude of his thoughts.

His footsteps echoed through the corridors as he walks by. The corridors seemed endless as Kiyoshi roamed, lost in his own thoughts.

"Yuma, are you sure?"

Kiyoshi thinks back to the ceremony of when it was announced that him and Yuma are now Kizoku. They were 15 years old.

Kiyoshi is shaking, he's nervous as he faces everyone giving them a round of applause. Yuma notices it. He slaps Kiyoshi's back.

"Don't worry Kiyoshi. Your good enough to become a Kizoku. You won't disappoint. I know that for a fact!"

Kiyoshi looks down to the ground.

"What makes you so sure?"

"Because you've only joined the D.O last year and your already Kashikoi recommended to become a Kizoku! No one in history is like you!"

Yuma laughs. Kiyoshi looks back at him. He starts to laugh too.
