Leah was all smiles when she came back from school the next day. "Mommy, Mommy, Mark isn't transferring away anymore! His mother also invited me to their house this weekend."
Wendy smiled when she heard what her daughter said.
She reached out and touched her daughter's cheek. "I'll take you shopping, so you can give Mark a small present. How about that?"
"That sounds great!" Leah clapped her hands happily.
Meanwhile, Jake had a sullen expression on his face.
He was feeling conflicted.
He did not want other boys to be close to Leah. On the other hand, he also wanted Leah to be happy.
For the past few days, Leah had been unhappy because of Mark.
Wendy knew what Jake was thinking.
She went over to Jake and patted his head. "Are you unhappy, Jake?"
Jake hesitated for a while before shaking his head. Then, he smiled and looked at his mother. "I'm happy as long as you and Leah are happy."
