Going back to the ward, Michael Lucas looked at Todd Lewis and Mary Stewart with bloodshot eyes. His tone was more stable compared to yesterday, "Mr. Lewis, you should still have work, there's no need for you to stay here. Don't worry, I'll take care of Wendy."
Turning his head, Michael looked at Mary again, "Mum, you can go back too, I'll inform you when Wendy has awoken. Take care of your health and rest well."
In Michael's heart, Wendy Stewart was his wife. It was his responsibility and duty.
"I'm not leaving, I want to stay here and wait for Wendy to wake up." Mary hadn't cared much for Wendy since she was a child. But they were a family after all, and now that Wendy's life was in danger, Mary was determined to stay in the ward and take care of her. "I've already called the school to take leave for her, I won't leave."
Todd had indeed come to Lake City for a work errand. But with the situation now, he would feel guilty if he had to leave.
