Yvonne had always known that Michael did not love her back. She knew that his indulgence toward her was just to fulfill his promise. If not for that, she would not have had to drug him three years ago. However, she never expected Wendy to get involved and end up marrying Michael instead. If not for Wendy's appearance, she would be Michael's wife right now. Now that she was hearing these words straight from Michael, she felt like the sky had collapsed.
"I'm just a little sister?" Yvonne laughed in anger as she took a few steps back. "Michael, I don't want to be your younger sister, I want to be your wife."
"Wendy is my wife," said Michael. "Don't worry, I will organize a ball for you and let you personally choose among the handsome young men in Lake City, okay?"
"No," Yvonne shook her head desperately with tears flowing down her face, "I don't want anyone else but you."
