"Grandmother, be safe." Wendy waved her hand.
"Wendy, why don't you come back to the mansion sometime, and we can have a nice chat, okay?" Grandmother's tone was a little pleading when she said, "Bring the children with you."
Wendy was going to refuse. The only thing she and Grandmother could talk about was Michael. Wendy didn't want to talk about him with anyone.
But looking at Grandmother's teary eyes, Wendy couldn't get the words of refusal out of her mouth.
After a moment of hesitation, Wendy nodded her head.
After sending Grandmother away, Wendy drove Mary and the two children to the hospital.
Leah's face was full of worry when she saw Todd lying injured on the bed and tears of heartache flowed from her eyes.
She leaned over the bed and worriedly asked Todd, "Mr. Lewis, does your wound hurt a lot?"
"It doesn't hurt when you come to see me," Todd replied with a smile.
