But no matter how intelligent Jake was, he was only a child. Wendy had not shared with others about her revenge plans because she did not want to involve anybody. Moreover, Jake was her son. She was even more unwilling to get him involved.
But from what Jake had said, it had become clear to Wendy that her revenge was not only hurting Leah, but also Jake.
She was allowing him to follow her and live in her bitterness.
The scariest part was that Jake had never let on how much he already knew to Wendy. She had no idea.
Wendy reached out to hold Jake's hand. She pursed her lips and for a while, she did not know what to say.
After a long pause, Wendy asked, "Jake, so did you know from the very start who Michael Lucas is?"
Jake nodded. Since he had already told her that he knew, there was no need to hide from her. "I know that he is my and Leah's father."
