By the time Wendy got home from work, Zess had already prepared dinner.
Wendy was in a good mood because of Michael's incident.
Jake saw that Wendy did not appear to be out of control like last night and was relieved. However, after dinner, Wendy received another call, this time, from the grandmother. With Grandmother calling around this time, Wendy could guess what she was calling for.
"Wendy..."A familiar sound came through the phone.
"It is me, Mrs. Lucas," Wendy replied in a low voice.
"Did you know that Michael was admitted into hospital?" said Grandmother while sighing.
If Wendy said she knew but didn't go to the hospital, Grandmother would be disappointed. Grandmother had always hoped that she and Michael would be well together. But if she said she didn't know, that seemed too deliberate. After all, Mr. York had already called her.
Regarding such a serious matter, it was unreasonable for her to say that she didn't know.
