Chapter 23 - Chapter 23

Half an hour ago

-Mr. Timpson, are we there yet?

-Yes. Get ready. We'll enter on my count.

-Ok.

One of his team members gasped in seeing something strange.

-What happened?

-Sir, isn't it strange? There isn't a single man outside. And also it's too quiet and clear to be normal.

He also added to it.

-I think sir there's something wrong. Something happened here before we got here.

Timpson thought for a while.

-We'll see about that. First we need to save her. Now don't delay a second. Let's go.

It seemed like he was getting mentally prepared for what was going to happen, ahead of them.

They went ahead as Timpson signaled them to go. They took positions as per planned. Two from his team stood in front of the main entrance and the rest of them went along with Timpson and Kevin. As soon as they entered Mathew's base, they felt a strange eerie feeling and also some strange smell as if the smell was flowing down through the walls of that place.

-Mr. Timpson, don't you think there's really something wrong with this place? There's must been a disaster happened here.

-Hmm. I think the smell is blood smell. No, I'm pretty sure that it is blood smell.

Kevin got terrified thinking that what if something wrong might've happened to you. Mr. Timpson noticed it.

-Don't worry, Mr. Lee. I'm sure Miss Luna will be just fine.

Kevin nodded but still couldn't shrug off the feeling of having to see you in the hurt state. He tried to shrug off the feeling and went ahead along with them.

As they were getting inside, the strong smell of blood was wrapping up their noses. Not long after it, they encountered with the very first dead body in that place. It was a body of one of Mathew's bodyguards. Kevin got shocked to see a dead body for the very first time in his life but handled it still he couldn't handle his thoughts getting wilder by the minute they gets inside that place.

Timpson's team members started to cover up the dead bodies with a blanket to avoid their sight. They did the same to all the dead bodies until they found Mathew and Roy's dead body lying on the cold ground.

Timpson got close to their bodies and examined it thoroughly.

-It seems like someone did quite a number of jobs on them.

-What do you mean?

Timpson pointed on their forehead for Kevin to understand what he meant by it.

-They both were killed in the same pattern and also when they were wide awake. One shot kill for both of them. The killer didn't even hesitate for a bit. Nice!
