" Good morning big bro" Valerie greeted
" Morning sweetheart, how's your night?"
" was awesome, I'm off to school, the bus is outside waiting", Valerie immediately ran off to the door when Zed stopped her
" No peck?"
" Nice try, but you still haven't said the truth" Zed caressed his temple as he watched her walk out of the door.
" How'd she get this smart, she's just six!" he thought to himself.
" Hey guys!" Zed hollered
" how're you?" Lance questioned as they all shared a handshake
" doing great"
" you're up for basketball?"
" yeah sure".
They all strolled to the basketball court, discussing and laughing about things of less importance. Soon they arrived at the court and began practice almost immediately. At the start Lance gained more points than the others,
" Let's make a bet" Lance initiated
" What kind?"
" Whoever beats me in the next round get my lunch for a week but if you don't, I get your's. Derek and Brandon stared at each other for a moment then spoke
"we're out"
" I'm in...I don't want your lunch though"
" then we'll have it Derek and Brandon spoke simultaneously. The game started with Lance gaining on Zed, but few minutes to the end Zed got the upper hand beating Lance in his own game!.
" Looks like we'll have our tummies filled throughout the week" Derek teased
" I almost feel sorry for you" Brandon chuckled
", Okay, enough, besides I wanted him to win"
" Hmm-Mmm, tell us more" Zed beckoned
"You're been sarcastic aren't you?"
" why would I?" Zed questioned with a smirk
" I get it!, you won, you can quite the sarcasm" Lance blurted out, leaving the rest in laughter
" Can we go to the cafeteria now?, I'm starving" Derek said
" same here"
"I don't think you're getting any lunch till the week's over" Derek reminded
" Don't tell me you guys took the bet seriously"
" They definitely did"
" Dude it was a joke, I never meant what I said"
" but you said it anyway so...
" a bet is a bet" Brandon completed
" but I never said when exactly the bet will take effect, so for the meantime I've still got my lunch to myself"
" you just can't let go"
" you can have your lunch, but you owe us"
" no I don't".
Finally, they arrived at the cafeteria took their lunch and grabbed a seat. Immediately, Zed caught a glimpse of someone, it was Ashley and probably the girl he met after school the other day who claimed to be her twin.
" dang! the really look alike " he thought
" why intensive stare" Lance questioned following his gaze
"nothing much just trying to figure out who is who between both of them"
" oh that's easy, Ashley is lovely feisty and dangerous if need be.While Glenda on the other hand is lovely not feisty and not dangerous" Derek commented
"no, I mean how can I differentiate them using physical features?"
"okay that's a bit hard... just their names for now"
" why are you asking" Lance questioned
"nothing" Zed responded sharply
"I'm pretty sure it's something" Brandon teased
" Wait do you have a thing for her?"
"what?!...no!, I was just been curious that's all, and why would you think of such a thing?"
Derek smiled broadly " Yesterday you offered to give her a ride home even when she never asked"
" I was just been nice...were you eavesdropping?"
" I didn't mean to, I was just passing by when I over heard" Derek defended raising his hands
" she's just a friend, nothing more, no strings attached"
" we get it" the trio responded simultaneously
" Friends might end up snuggling" Lance muttered under his breath, Brandon and Derek Chuckled.
" you guys are insane".

Mrs Glenda Archibald a woman in her early 50s walked into the class holding some files in her hands.
" good afternoon class"
" good afternoon ma'am" the class greeted, whilst giggling to themselves. Her make-ups were egregious, making her look like a cast in the walking dead.
" quiet people! " she snorted
"I'm pretty sure you're aware of the upcoming summer camp, it has been approved and the journey we'll begin on the 20th that's 15 days from now".
The students psyched on hearing that the date had finally been fixed
" there will be a Guy Fawkes night,all other important things will be discussed later"she informed
" how many days are we going to spend?" Steven asked
"it's a four-day camp" she concluded, exiting the class leaving the overjoyed students to themselves. Kim squealed with excitement.
Immediately the English teacher Mr Samuel worked in and this noise slowly died down.
" Catherine get all the English notes and bring them to my office as soon as possible" he ordered
" yes sir" Katherine replied as she carried out the order. Mr Samuel scanned round the class for a minute as if searching for something or someone then suddenly he marched out without uttering a word.
" you left me hanging the other day" someone whispered into Ashley's ear, immediately she turned around it was to find Zed
" wait! , you were actually serious?"
" why, yes I was"
she snorted " I thought you were pulling my legs", Zed just gave her a stare rather than reply
" look, I'm sorry"
" apology not accepted"
" uhm..okay what can I do to earn your forgiveness?" Zed tucked his hand into his pants pocket while using the other to ruffle his hair gently. Suddenly he sighted something, it was his friends seated at the tail end of the classroom cheering on him silently. Lance raised a paper above his head with an inscription SHE'S JUST A FRIEND boldly written on it, Zed chuckled lightly.
"what's that?"
" huh"
" you chuckled, what's funny?"
" uhm.. nothing " he denied with his gaze still on his friends, Ashley followed his gaze, Immediately Lance brought down the paper, leaving Ashley clueless of what was going on, they just smiled and waved at her and she waved back.
" what's wrong with them?"
" c'mon " he smiled then placed his hands across her shoulders as he led her out of the classroom. He could still hear his friends cheering from behind
"where exactly are we going"
"anyway or maybe everywhere" Zed responded
" you're not being specific"
" you know when we get there"
" a clue?"
" we are going somewhere away from here"
" wait!!" she halted " we can't leave school"
" we'll be back before you know it trust me" he winked
" and how exactly do you intend leaving school premises without getting caught?"
" that's nothing to worry about"
