Chereads / the Hybrid's Mate / Chapter 2 - Chapter two

Chapter 2 - Chapter two

.... Larraine's POV.....

Two members of the rogues pack barged in,

"well well well, if it isn't Larraine and her family", one wolf stated as he stared Larraine in face.

"We have you surrounded come with us quietly or we will rape every female in here and then kill everyone," the second wolf said with a malice grin on his face.

Before Larraine could speak more wolves charged in. Larraine shifted, she wasn't like every normal wolf hybrid Lycan. In a previous life she was a vampire and the life before she was a Fae/ Siren hybrid . When she was reborn she kept those powers.

Larraine's Lycan opened her mouth and a loud ear piercing screech stoped and stunned the rogues dead in their tracks. While stunned Larraine took the opportunity to rip out their throats only leaving the one wolf who made the threat.

"Tell you're leader if he wants to challenge me he needs to try harder", Larraine said with a laugh and sent them on their way.

Larraine was still in he Lycan form and Jessica couldn't stop staring. Larraine's Lycan was black but had a strip of blue, red, and green on her tail. Everytime Larraine was reborn as another species a new color would form. Jason came down stairs with a towel and threw it over Larraine for her to shift back.

Luckily for her she kept spare clothes up stairs in the back room for times like these. It was common for different rogue packs to try and challenge Larraine. Larraine pull out a pair of black jeans, a black t-shirt, another leather jacket, and black combat boot and put them all on and headed back down stairs. When she went down stairs most of the customers had already left out of fear not only because of the rogues but also because of Larraine.

Larraine was not normal and that scared them. Larraine sat back down and finished her paperwork.

...... Jessica's POV...

I couldn't take my eyes off her. When the rogues surrounded the bar Jessica froze. When Larraine shifted and let out a screech everyone tried covering their ears but Jessica couldn't. She stared at Larraine in awe. Everyone found Larraine to be scary but Jessica knew she was special.

"Jessica, get behind the bar now!" Her aunt Reidda exclaimed in worry.

Jessica didn't argue she hurried behind the bar and dropped down just before Larraine killed all but one of the rogues. Jessica sat there speechless not even an alpha the she knew of could ever take down that many rogues at once let alone a Lycan.

As soon as the rogue had left and Larraine went upstairs most of the customers ran out the door.

"Welp, looks like you can help me start on the repairs, this happens more times then you can count", Reidda said to Jessica, as she started fixing the bottles of liquor that didn't manage to break when Larraine released her Siren voice.

" H-h-how did she do that? No wolf or Lycan can screech like that", Jessica asked curiously.

"Well, Larraine and I go way back when she opened this place 20 years ago. From what she shared with me, long ago her mother was the moon goddess's sister no one knows because she fell in love with the dark prince. Her sister objected to it telling her that he was not her mate. The sister didn't care she fell in love anyway and had a daughter with the dark prince. However after her daughter was born the dark prince left her for another. With the pain in her heart the mother killed herself leaving her child with the moon goddess. The moon goddess cursed her so that she is always reborn with the memories of the life's before and keeps their powers. The moon goddess never gave her a mate because she has never found anyone worthy of the niece. That baby is Lorraine. She's been a Siren- Fae hybrid, a vampire, and now a wolf/Lycan hybrid." Reidda explained.

Jessica's mouth dropped open, how could anyone go without a mate let alone for 3 other lifetimes. She couldn't understand why someone like Larraine had to go through such pain.

All of a sudden she saw Larraine walking down the stairs just to go sit where she previously was like nothing happened. This time however the energy around Larraine when she looked at her was cold.

"Jessica, can you start flipping the tables back over and the chairs and clean what you can? I need to send in an order and see if they can send them in the most heavy duty glass bottles they have." Reidda asked before the started counting bottles of what she needed to order.
