Max was lying down on the floor facing Richard while Richard was still glaring at him with red eyes. He wanted to stab Max a few more times to make sure that he died. Using his left foot he moved one step forward but right then he got distracted by his daughter's cry.
His eyes turned immediately back to normal after hearing his daughter cry and he just threw the knife up in the air which just vanished in the mid-air.
Richard then puts his right hand forward, his palm facing towards Max. Richard closed his eyes and suddenly a beam of blue light started to come out from his palm which then reached Max's forehead.
As soon as the light touched Max's forehead, a bubble started to form which then started to cover his whole body. Within a second Max was inside a big bubble.
Richard then opened his eyes and turned his wrist making his palm face the ceiling. This action made the bubble that contained Max float up in the air. Then he just swung his hand towards the window which was on the opposite left side of the door which made the bubble fly instantly through the window which only landed at the Blood ocean which was on the opposite side of the world.
Richard then hurriedly faced towards the direction where Max landed and saw the blood all around thus again putting out his palm facing the ceiling, it made all the blood rise up in droplets and he again swung his hand towards the same window making the blood fly away towards the Blood ocean.
Finally, he looked at the basket which was dropped by Max earlier, he picked it up with his right hand and ran through the door towards his wife.
"Creak.."
The sound of the door when Richard opened was quite creepy and anyone could tell by the sound that the door is quite old and unused for a long time. The place they are in right now is a traditional 2 story house in the middle of a jungle in Nami hill which was made by Richard's grandfather as the hideout for his family.
Richard went straight to his wife kissed her on the forehead and looked at his daughter with warm eyes which were filled with love and care.
"You did a great job, my love, must have been hard but I am proud of you," he then once again kissed her on the forehead after saying these words.
"Now let's hurry we don't have time," saying this much Richard then helped his wife to sit straight up putting the pillows on her back for support. They knew that she needs to lie down and take complete rest but the work of saving their daughter could only be done by his wife, Maria.
After that Richard puts the basket on the floor and takes out the baby. He then puts the baby mid-way floating in the air right in front of Maria. Maria sits up straight and touches the pendant that she has around her neck. She then closes her eyes and starts spelling some spells.
It was a green jade pendant that was handed over to the daughters only from generation to generation by Maria's ancestors which were now in her possession. This jade worked as a seal that sealed the spirit animals making them unable to be seen by anyone.
However, there was a price one must pay for using the power of green jade. With the help of the pendant, one could make the spirit animal invisible to others but could not use the powers themselves. It sealed the spirit animal making the person a simple human with no spirit animal.
But it was not able to seal two different people's spirit animals at the same time.
So, after spelling some spells Maria pulled out her pendant from her neck, and as soon as the pendant was taken out beams of light started to spread out through the jade in the room. The room which had only one bulb as a source of light was now so bright that one could say that there were bulbs everywhere on the wall.
After a few seconds, a huge black dragon started to come out of that small jade as if it were a hologram being projected through the projector.
Then the dragon faced Maria and floated in the mid-air at the side of the floating baby. Now Maria put her hand out and started twirling her index finger as if she is hypnotizing the dragon.
"From today onwards I free you. Now you go and serve as the spirit animal of this dead baby right beside you. After the baby is cremated you will be a free spirit with no human to serve. You can go back to your world."
Maria paused. "Thank you for being with me although I never freed you, I never saw you before, you were there." A drop of tear leaves her right eye as she felt an important part of herself being separated from her.
"WANNAMA MAENNAMA." Maria casts the magic spells and put her hands down.
Suddenly a hole is opened right above the dead baby's body and the dragon is pulled towards the hole as if a metal is being pulled by a magnet. In a few seconds, the dragon has entered through the hole meaning that the dragon is now the spirit animal of that dead baby.
After the dragon enters through the hole inside the baby completely, the baby slowly comes down and lands on Maria's lap.
Maria looks at the baby in her lap with grateful eyes then at the jade deeply and remembered her mother's word about how she had managed to hide her from the outer world with the help of this jade. And now it was Maria's turn to protect her daughter.
Maria just needs to put the jade on her daughter's neck to seal her dragon. She had just reached out her hands with the pendant to put it on her daughter's neck but before she could do it a sound stops her.
"Attention!! No one moves from their place." A voice is heard through the door where one could see an unknown bulky man standing.
