Chapter 4 - Sumitra & Blaze's Undying Love

FLASHBACK

"You and I are made for each other. This world, life, love, feelings all of this doesn't end even if people die. And if one of us does come across such a situation, then I want you to promise me something," Sumitra said lying on the grass beside Blaze near the river. The wind was whiffing up as their hairs kept moving slowly to the breeze. The sun was beaming up behind her, glowing her whole face.

"I don't think anything will happen to you or me"

"Oh c'mon, it's just a promise"

"I don't believe..." Sumitra's face puffed up like a balloon. She furrowed her brows lower and the corner of her lips drooped down.

Blaze laughed, "Okay, Okay I promise" "So what do you want me to promise?"

She smiled openly as her lips changed from down to up to her cheekbones. Her long black hair flew with the wind while some of her strands appeared on her face. She moved some of her strands blocking her view as she saw Blaze quietly sitting on the grass with his hands resting behind on the soft grass.

"A perfect Goddess" She blushed.

"I want you to promise me to hold on to this feeling you feel about me. This love between us makes us strong. I want you to never let go of it. Because I know I will."

"Never."

FLASHBACK ENDS

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"I am not going to let go." Tears made their way out from Blaze's eyes as his tight hold over his fist started loosening. How she wanted him to be strong even at the moment of breaking.

"You are so smart Sumi, You knew that time would come to this. That's why you made me promise." Blaze almost curdled his weepings as it became louder while he talked. His voice choked in between when he tried to say to her. He wiped his tears with the back of his hand. "Save our baby," He said with his hand, never letting go of her. His eyes were determined to not break their promise. He understood what Sumitra really wanted to say through that promise. "She is giving her life for him, don't make me kill you, Avi. I want our baby to be healthy." He kissed her hand later on her forehead. Her breathing became rapid as their baby started showing some moments.

"I can see the beautiful head," Blaze smiles within his pain of separation. The excruciating pain of giving birth to a child with a wound ripping her into many pieces while she tried to bring the new one into this world.

"Sumi, he just looks like you," Blaze said as Sumitra's eyes started to flash open and close in the lethal pain. "Ahhh, It's a he?"She said as another load of screams made their way out of her mouth as their baby clamped its way out. As for Sumitra, it was more than impossible to stay alive as her heartbeat had already slowed down.

"Yeah, it's a boy." He said.

"Is…Is he okay?" Sumitra said with her voice suffocating to speak through her condition. She held on to Blaze's hand and comforted him with her tiny smile.

"He is alright, Avi's just wrapping him up." Blaze nodded while Sumitra's eyes began to blur her vision in the misery of sadness. Her own sadness engulfed her in tears and pain of her beloved husband who stayed by her side till the end. She smiled knowing that this is truly the end.

"He is gifted with my powers…." Sumitra said, trying not to choke on her voice.

Blaze shook his head and said, "...Our Powers" Sumitra laughed at him.

"You really are irritating." Blaze laughed along with her as another set of tears made their way. They heard their baby crying out loud so as to bring their attention to Avi who carefully brought him near them.

"He is here," he said. The loud anguish of crying changed their sadness for the moment. "I know you will make us proud, Anay." Sumitra said as Avi brought her baby close to her chest.

The land of silver reality has changed into gold unaware of the other people. Blaze held his son with his hands while Avi smiled and went back out to give them a moment. "Doesn't he look like you Sumi," Blaze said with his eyes sparkling at their precious gem. Sumitra calmly kept looking at him. She knew her time was near.

"He has your eyes, your endurance of Hazel." Her doomed voice became slower as she spoke with her husband in her last moments. "He has both of our eyes, your olive green too," Blaze added with a genuine smile.

"Hazel-green.. is that even an eye colour?" Sumi mocked as she kissed Anay's forehead.

"Well, he is unique." Blaze said, sitting beside her as he slowly caressed her hair. Death is nearly peaceful according to Sumitra. Her work was done bringing the one youth of omens and foretelling to this world. She smiled happily looking at her child who had the capability and strength to change the world with the other youths. Blaze planted a kiss on her wife's forehead as tears made their way through her eyes too.

"He is the child of omens and foretelling," She said, smiling through her tears. Blaze kissed her again crying his heart out on her deathbed.

"Don't… Don't cry, now" A long whimper escaped through his mouth listening to her gloomy tone. "Now, let me say goodbye then"

"I love you so much… my…sexy man." Her words slipped through her mouth as a laugh escaped from both of their painful mouths. Her face screamed for breakage by the web of living. Blaze sobbed in pain as her eyes halted, her body froze to death. He couldn't hear her faint heartbeats.

"Sum.." His sobbing was rapid as he witnessed her lifeless body. He landed his forehead on hers as cuddling her sideways. "I love you." He planted countless kisses on her face. A sudden realization hit him as the baby woke up, opening his eyes to him. He started crying again which cleared Blaze's mind. He looked so pure. Like a pure deep love of hope for his wife Sumitra's aspect. A part of her left for him on her death.

"He is the child of omens and foretelling."

"Hazel-green is that even an eye colour?"

"Oh, c'mon it's just a promise."

"Hold on to our Love"

As Sumitra's words ringed inside his head repeatedly and what it really meant, he started to realize that his battle is not finished till now.

"Our love." He looked at their baby who was finding comfort in the arms of his Father and the console of his mother. He smiled looking at his child sleeping soundly.

He slowly took him in his own hands away from Sumitra and carefully handed it to Diana. The woman who was called a perfect goddess by Sumitra. Even if fairy-tales lived in this world were true, no other tale could knock this one tale out. Diana-The mother goddess, Princess of Silver land, The embodiment of kindness, made every tale dim away. Draped with a half saree enveloped over her long flowing skirt, she carried the baby in her arms. The dark woody coloured saree with thin golden borders enhanced her olive skin and when she smiled looking at him her cheeks were tinted red with the pain and shock of witnessing Sumitra's death. The child, having no idea about the circumstances, quickly held her index finger in his tight grasp. A sudden rush of feelings drive through her body. Her eyes became shiny under his hold. She kissed his face like a million times, "Mera bacha" She huffed a huge sigh after enveloping the baby in her arms.

"Sumitra named him Anay," Blaze added as he saw how happy she was with the baby grasping her finger. His face immediately turned blue as he realized his finishing battle. "Diana, you must leave now." She turned around to see blaze taking sumitra's body in his arms.

"What about Anay?" She asked looking at a teared down Blaze.

"Take him away from everything and everyone." He gently patted her and put his hand under Sumitra's legs.

"Sumi" She saw the sides of her body completely wrecked in havoc. Her abdomen was lowly doomed with the amount of thrust she had driven inside of her body due to the soul blade. Her overflowing eyes and pale face was unobtrusively saddened by the loss of her only friend with whom she was about to have their babies get together. An irony wasn't it? One lost his mother, one lost her child and it suited both of them very well. Sumitra could never see her child, nor Anay could ever see his mother. Diana for perse didn't even have the chance to hold her own baby in her warmth. She sadly chuckled to herself after realizing the death grope of their fates. For Sumitra, Anay was struck to the fate of growing without a mother and so for Diana herself she was struck to the fate of parenting without a child.

"Diana, I don't know if I will be alive after this or not, I want you to take care of our baby."

She furrowed her brows as if shock was now just an understatement for her, "But I.. How? Why?"

Being lost for words she looked at the hazel pair of eyes awaiting his answers, "I don't want him to be abandoned. I do not want to let him feel like he has no Father or Mother. Be there for him, Tell your husband that he is your child. Don't let anyone know the truth, not even Anay."

The rocks started to crumble down inside the den. The thrashing weather was playing with the rocks as his own puppets. With each huge lightning the rocks were slumbering down on the ground with exuberant force.

"Runaway, now" With that last word, Diana unclasped the loose end of her saree from her waist and covered Anay. She nodded after taking a look at her back where she saw Blaze standing near the deathbed. Blaze's eyes were drowning in the pool of ocean as he saw his baby covered in a cocoon warmth of Diana. "Take care of him" He added after planting a longing kiss on Anay's Temple. He took a good look at him, thereafter kissed all over his face. "If I live Anay, I will come back for you." Moving back he saw Diana's face filled with emotions which she can't express at the moment. He smiled through his tears and added, "Now gooo," Hearing his adamant order, she nodded at him and flew towards the other end of the cave which was the way near her Silverland.
