Marcus and Hadrian return from their visit to the Nordic Coven, while they decided to rest in one Hadrian's home.
The door of Hadrian'a house was a massive and both of them made their way inside. They entered an impressive library, lined floor-to-ceiling with shelves and shelves of leatherbound books. Sliding ladders on rails ran up the walls, extending to even higher alcoves, and a spiral staircase led to a loft in the immense room. The chairs, vases, and furniture were all of the most stylish and expensive variety.
Marcus saw his father seated himself in the comfortable chair in front of the fire and crossed a leg over his other knee, who smiled at his son and said"Hello, son."
Marcus glared at Hadrian and asked"Why is he here?"
Hadrian poured a large tumbler of scotch and drank it in gulps and replied"Because I called him, so this little misunderstanding to be sorted out."
Marcus in anger pointing his finger at his father yelled"That man betrayed my brother and me, he refused to help me find William."
Hadrian sighed and replied"That is not true, your father did want to help you.But you didn't fully here his reason before jumping and accusing him."
Marcus was still angry, that's when Helena entered thr room and spoke up"Marcus your Father didn't abandon you,he really wanted to help you. Please let him explain."
Marcus seeing his mother calmed down and h also knew Hadrian was not someone who would just lie about this kinda of stuff. As he glared at his father, who saw his son was giving him a chance to explain "You must understand my situation Marcus, while I do have a army to find William, these men who follow me are mortals. They don't have the strength and regenerative powers like me or you. They will completely falter at the sight of William, who is is basically a monster for them and his ability turn other's into rabid monsters only make them reluctant to follow me."
Marcus now thought about it, could understand asking his father to lend his army to find William was not logical.Even Victor took 200 years to get his immortal army ready, so for him to expect his father's mortal army to find and capture someone like William was not possible.
Alexander with sadness said"I should have been their to help you."
Marcus cried and muttered"I can't help him, I hear his roars it is as if he is crying for help.I can't look away while he is in pain father."
Alexander really felt like he was failure of a father, while both father and mother hugged Marcus close and said"Don't worry we will get your brother back, that is a promise."
Marcus cried in father and mother'a arms like when he was child.
[A/N:I know some will say Alexander Corvinus from the movie is hard man and he is not emotional like this, but you must remember with Helena's presence the family is more united than in the movie.]
