Now that the elf left and everybody was free to move again, people all around Leo started to walk around and share their impressions with anybody who cared to listen.
"This is incredible!"
"My cousin told me this is really realistic, but this is on a whole other level."
"Why? I wanted to take some selfies with the elf."
"Huh? He would have struck you down before you even reached halfway."
"Yiii! I'm so cute!"
"Ugh. Noisy."
"What did you say, fucker?"
Listening to people all around him, Leo shook his head slightly and left looking for a quiet place to examine the bracelet that he received. Upon finding an unoccupied stone bench in one of the hallways, he sat down and started organising his thoughts.
"First and foremost. Status window."
As soon as he thought that a panel with his information appeared in his view.

[Child of the night]
You were born into the darkness and will be marked by it forever. The sun is your greatest enemy.
You are an undead, unaffected by that that affects the living.
You can see perfectly in the dark
High dark magic resistance
High sun vulnerability
[Blood Drinker]
Your diet consists mostly of blood. While you can eat other food, it won't sate your hunger.
[Shadow Affinity]
Your affinity with shadow magic and techniques increases drastically. At the same time, divine based skills become impossible to master.
[Dark Beckoning]
Your mesmerising gaze makes your enemy want to get closer. If your charisma is higher than their intelligence they will fall into daze. The duration depends on the difference between the previously stated stats.
Mana cost: 10 MP
"From what I know, all vampire players start as fledglings and can increase their rank through various means. This should also affect the race features. Not that it matters at the moment."
"For every stat there is a minimum baseline of 10 points assigned. After that various modifiers are computed based on the body's, race's and class's characteristics. Although the intelligence, charm and wisdom are supposed to be my highest statuses, some of those points should come from the redistribution of strength, dexterity and constitution."
"Among the vampire's hidden statuses, the more important should be the high movement speed as well as the hunger. If the hunger level drops too much, a vampire will enter a manic state, where they attack everything and everyone in sight. While I feel a bit conflicted about drinking blood, I remember the taste should be rather good."
Satisfied, Leo closed his status window and turned his attention towards the bracelet.
"This and the terminal should work in a similar way."
Turning it on, his student profile page loaded.

Leo turned his attention on the left side of the page, where various buttons were located and clicked on the primary class registration option. As soon as he did so, a list containing all the magical schools available loaded.
Scrolling down, he stopped as soon as he found what he was looking for and, without any hesitation, clicked on the Nethermancy School of Magic. The Nethermancy School of Magic deals with what is known as Shadow Magic and, considering Leo's racial characteristics, is a very obvious choice.
Shadow Magic is one of the 2 most popular options for mages with darkness affinity, the other being Necromancer. Unlike it counterpart that focuses on having hordes of undead protecting the mage by overwhelming the opponent with numbers, the Nethermancy School mages make use of shadows to hide themselves while fighting. Depending on the mage's ability to remain concealed, this can greatly enhance the survivability without compromising the attack power.
By Leo's analysis, be it attack, defence or support, while not as lethal as the carpet bomber battle mage or as good at field control as an illusionist, it should be more than enough for his current needs.
Now that he selected his main school, Leo scrolled up slightly in the catalog and selected his second and final school of magic, the more niche Mind Magic School. While this particular school sounds interesting, it is not often picked due to the very little offensive capabilities it has. In fact, later in the game, this would become a very powerful but resource demanding class.
Leo though picked it for its great compatibility with the shadow magic. While the shadow magician is powerful, this is only true if he manages to stay hidden in the shadows. The more muddled the opponent, the lower the chances of being discovered. Through this synergy, mind magic becomes a powerful addition even at lower levels.
As soon as he finished selecting it, a system warning popped up in front of him.

Now a few millions lighter, Leo decided to check the secondary classes. It's not that he's the first to think about this particular combination, the others just decided that paying such an exorbitant price was not worth it. Compared to him, the others should complete quests in town and watch the exchange area like hawks for weeks if not months in order to gather that amount.
The first and most popular option for the secondary category was the Alchemist class. After hesitating for a moment, Leo skipped past it and started looking at the other choices.
The alchemist is a profession capable of concocting and selling elixirs. While it's true that quite a few of them made a lot of money in his previous life, he was not that tempted. After all, he didn't really lack money to begin with and, rather than spending days in a laboratory, he had easier methods to gather gold out in the game world.
After looking through the list, he picked Scribe and Scroll Inscribing, for a price of 10 gold each. While he had no intention of concocting potions, he remembered the recipes for a lot of alchemical elixirs, so why not sell them at slightly inflated prices to those hardworking fellows. And the Scribe can do just that. As for the Scroll Inscribing, his collection on magical diagrams were no less impressive than the one on elixirs, so why not use it.
The only thing left were the auxiliary classes. Without a second thought, he selected all of them. Although the information he remembered from his previous life is unmatched, only an ignorant fool would go to war without checking out the enemy's information. What if one of those people learned something that can be used against him without his knowledge.
After finishing his shopping, Leo closed the interface and prepared to head out into the town. Before he could do that though, he noticed a human laughing like a madman, by himself, in a corner near his location.
"I am back! Ha ha ha ha! I have actually been reborn! Ha Ha Ha! I will take revenge against those bastards and become the number one player! Ha ha ha!"
"Now that's slightly awkward.", thought Leo, as he watched the brand new reincarnated person making a fool of himself.
