Chapter 8 - Fighting wolves

I once again felt my strength increasing and this time It was more noticeable, because of the goblin's relatively high cultivation.

After the feeling calmed down, I felt, that I was already close to reaching the next realm, and I would only need another prey of the same realm or a few weaker ones.

After that I travelled deeper inside of the forest while the little tiger was constantly following by my side.

When we had been travelling for almost twenty minutes, I sensed a few creatures ahead of me.

'It looks like, I have finally found some prey again, Hehe' I maliciously thought, while slowly walking forwards as to not unnecessarily alert the enemies.

The little tiger seemed to understand the situation and also closely and slowly followed behind me.

When I looked through the bushes that had previously obstructed my view on them, I now was able to clearly perceive the appearance of these beasts.

Theys were actually wolves and they seemed to be of the same tribe as the one that had previously attacked the little tiger.

I scanned through them with my system and discovered that the highest cultivation was at the 9th Tier of the novice realm and the rest were between the 5th and the 8th Tier of the Novice realm.

This would surely give me a huge increase in strength or [System points], depending on what I chose to convert into.

'Haha, that's perfect, then I can also take a little bit revenge for the actions of the wolf that had attacked the little tiger previously.' I thought while my eyes seemed to radiate pure bloodlust again.

I tried to gesture with my paw for the little tiger to stay here, and it seemed to understand my gesture and laid on the floor with an expression of watching the show.

Seeing this, the corner of my mouth twitched a little, but I soon concentrated on the task at hand, because this would surely be my hardest battle till now.

I planned to strike the weaker ones first, so that I could then concentrate on the strongest wolf without them interfering in the fight, which was a good plan per se, but sadly it did not work the way I intended it to.

When I had made up my mind and decided to attack, I swiftly ran towards the nearest wolf, while this time also activating , so as to increase my speed to the maximum.

I directly felt my speed increasing after using this skill and my movements became swifter and I was like a gust of wind.

The first wolf only had time to turn around, but no chance to further react before he was directly hit by my claws and was sent flying with a bloody wound in his side.

Looking at the wolf lying on the ground without moving anymore, it looked like he was directly killed by blow.

I did not further care about the wolf that I had just hit and was already running towards my next prey, but before I could reach him, suddenly the alpha of this pack and also the strongest of this group jumped in my way and hindered me from killing one more of his, before my strength helpless, pack members.

'Hah, I should have known that this Alpha wolf is not an idiot and will react quite fast. Now the fight will be many times tougher.' I directly scolded myself after seeing the alpha intercept my attack.

'Then let's bring it on!' I motivated myself, before activating and slashing with my paw at the alpha.

To my dismay, thew wolf dodged my claw at the last moment and tried to launch an attack at me while I was still in the attacking motion.

This would have surely worked under normal circumstances, but due to me currently having , which increased my speed by twenty percent, active, I was also able to dodge his blow.

Unluckily for me the Alpha still had his pack members, so I was soon being surrounded by more than 6 wolves, which certainly was not a good situation to be in.

'Ok then let's go all out to kill these motherfuckers!' I thought in anger after seeing them surround me.

This time I planned to activate , when I would once again be attacked by one of the many wolves in the encirclement, so that when I killed the wolf, I would still have my paws free, so that I would not be defenceless when the alpha attacked me.

I could only do this because the cooldown of the would start soon and then I would not be able to dodge so easily.

Because I was sure, that this was the Alphas plan to kill me when I had my paws occupied with attacking another wolf.

Not short after I was thinking of this, a wolf pounced on me and I directly used on his neck and I felt my teeth tearing through his skin and then his flesh. Shortly after I could even hear the bones cracking while I also tasted the blood that flowed out of the wound into my mouth.

'Hmm, that doesn't taste as bad as I thought, Hehe. Probably has to do with animalistic instincts or something like that again.' I quickly thought before concentrating back on the fight.

And just as I thought, the moment the wolf pounced onto me, the Alpha wolf also moved towards me, in an attempt to easily kill me, but unlike what the wolf thought, I was not defenceless.

When he had almost reached me, I turned around while throwing the wolf away that was still hanging from my mouth.

The Alpha tried to sink his sharp fangs into my flesh, but I intercepted him by quickly using and slashing at his head.

But unlike what I hoped I slashed his eyes, which made the wolf howl out in pain and furiously running around, because he was now blind due to my slash.

Now that he could not see me anymore, I decided to finally end this fight.

I swiftly ran towards him and used while biting him in his neck, which considerably raised the damage.

Just like the wolf before he had no chance once he was bitten with such a force that his neck was completely broken and his head only dangled from his corpse.

'Now, then let's quickly finish the rest of them!' I silently thought after finally finishing off the strongest of them.

Shortly after I had killed all remaining members of the pack and was now standing amidst their corpses while thinking of something.
