"Your majesty, I suggest you go back to your chambers. I don't want those women at the back palace to think that you favoured me tonight. It would be so embarrassing for the news of you coming to scold me so late at night to spread."
Finally lifting her head with a small smile that didn't mean well for him, she added.
"After all, you have embarrassed me enough, and I don't think you would want my brother to retaliate using his own method."
Scoffing, the Emperor asked, "It is not enough that you dare to insult me and walk me out of this place, but now, you are even threatening me with your brother?"
Emperor Tammu was beyond angry. He pointed his finger at her as his lips moved several times, but no words could come out of them anymore.
Angry and ashamed, he turned and walked away from her chambers.
After he left, the Empress's eyes turned as dark as the night.
"So much for having hope." She spat.
