In one iron bucket was steaming hot noodle soup; although the noodles were not visible, they were definitely in there. In another iron bucket was brown meat sauce.
Pork meat, with alternating layers of fat and lean, was diced and fried with soybean paste, then simmered with cooking wine, minced garlic, and minced ginger. During this process, it had to be continuously stirred to prevent sticking to the pot. Once finished cooking, it was sprinkled with some chopped green onions for garnish.
