In the sky, dark clouds swirled tumultuously, as if it were about to rain.
The group hurried in front of the altar.
This altar wasn't made of stone like the common ones, but was constructed from wood and straw, looking extremely crude, simply enclosing three concentric circles.
On the wood, congealed dark red bloodstains formed a series of strange symbols.
In the center of the concentric circles, there stood a wooden stake as thick as an arm, on which was tied a bird-like effigy made of straw.
The feathers on the effigy were identical to those of the giant birds they had just encountered, but due to neglect over the years and being battered by wind and rain, it appeared bedraggled, like a drenched chicken.
"What do we do now?"
The luxury-loving man looked at the straw bird: "Pray to it?"
Everyone kept a wary eye on the altar, their faces showing a hint of disappointment; they had hoped to find a portal that could take them out of there.
"Don't touch anything recklessly!"
