"Pardon?" The Duchess squinted her eyes with confusion then turned to look at Aella.
Instinctively, Aella placed her hand over her stomach as though she was scared the Duchess' glare was going to harm her child.
"What? Did you really think we were not going to notice?" Older lady Walington scoffed under her breath. Then, as though she had just realized something crucial, she stared at the Duchess as her smile widened.
"Or, do not tell me that your dear grand-niece had hidden this piece of information from you?"
Aella winced slightly when she saw the Duchess clenching her fist around the spoon. Then, she whirled with a small smile on her face.
"Nothing remains hidden under my Castle, Lady Walington. I was aware of her condition from the onset." The Duchess said, and calmly raised the glass of wine to her lips.
