"Heavens!" Aella huffed as she rested her hands on her knees.
She was breathing heavily as she had been walking like a lost person for as long as she could remember. Well, she was lost.
Aella turned her head behind as she looked around the large expanse of snow which had no end or beginning.
She had no idea where she was or where she had come from as well. The place was like a maze but the only down part was it had no corners and just a wide range of snow which grew heavier with each step she took.
Aella swung her backpack to her front as she took out the golden locket that the witch had given to her before she left her kingdom.
This was the device which had been guiding her on where to go since the onset of her journey to Cassa Dron but now, the hands had disappeared behind the glass.
She knew the witch had said the hands would vanish when she got to where the demon was but how did she think she was going to find her way back?!
