Aella rushed towards the carriage as soon as she heard the little children screaming, her heart was pounding against her ribcage but her head couldn't register what was happening.
"What happened?" Aella yanked the door open immediately as she looked around frantically. The twins and Lucila were bundled around each other like a cocoon of protection.
Her heart fell at the sight when she saw their eyes wandering with fear as though something was going to jump out of nowhere and eat them up. She furrowed her eyebrows when she realized that one person was missing.
"Where is Luen?" she asked in a calm voice, as though her head wasn't reeling with possibilities of what could have happened to the kid.
"T-The monster-" Lucila trembled as she struggled to speak.
