"You know, Bane, Aella has always been a fan of my tales but as she grew up, she seemed to lose interest in spending time with her old man again. Having you around is like a breath of fresh air," her father jested and Aella gasped playfully, pretending to be hurt.
"How could you say that, Father? Do not listen to him, Bane," Aella turned to Bane who had a smile on his face.
"Who would you believe? This poor sick old man or the stubborn girl?" her father snorted and Aella widened her eyes.
"How could you blackmail him like that, Father?" she swatted her father's hand.
"Bane, I have been the one most eager to hear his tales. I mean, I will stay up all night just to hear his stories and I still do," Aella turned to Bane who only nodded.
"Yes, that is why you have been walking round the room as I tell him one of my best stories," the Baron scoffed and Bane burst out laughing.
