Aella instinctively pushed Bane away from her when she heard the door to the dining room being opened.
By the time she sat on her chair, she looked up to see her twin sister stepping into the room and Aella gave her a dazzling smile.
Aurelia moved her eyes to Bane who was seated next to Aella and then looked back at her sister who was sitting with her legs crossed.
Aella could see the question marks forming in her younger sister's head and she could only pray for the brat not to spit out what she wanted to say.
"Did something happen in my absence?" Aurelia's voice broke the silence and Aella locked eyes with Bane momentarily.
"Peace reigned for a while," Bane responded sarcastically and Aella scoffed under her breath.
"I was not talking to you," Aurelia rolled her eyes at him before she turned to Aella.
"Something did happen but all is well now, I guess," Aella answered.
