"Yes, she did. The witch said if I could get your heart, everything will be restored to its place," Aella nodded slowly.
"That means there is a curse, no?" Bane raised a question that even she didn't know if it was credible anymore.
"I think I have been tricked," she let out.
"What?" Bane frowned.
Aella really felt like she had been played by the cunning witch after she thought things through. If they had lost their home and her father had heart failure all due to a natural order, there was no way the curse ruined their lives.
It was destined to happen and it did so she was almost certain that there wasn't any damnation as the witch claimed it to be. It was all nothing but a bloody lie.
But for what? What did the Great Lumen Caramel stand to gain by lying to a common maiden like her?
