"H-How?" Aella heard her mother stuttering from behind her but her eyes were still on the demon standing before her.
The injured man jumped out of his arms and staggered away from him in fear.
Finally, Bane hid his wings as his golden orbs dimmed a bit to look natural now.
"He is a monster!"
Aella heard her sister yell from behind her and she rested a hand on her head in despair.
Why was this happening now? Why did Bane have to reveal himself like this?
"W-We must alert the guards of this. A-A demon!"
Aella grabbed the maid who was about to run out of the house to call the soldiers.
"No one is going anywhere," her voice was stern as she gritted out.
The maid pulled away from her slowly as she backed away with widened eyes.
Aella turned to her mother as she sighed under her breath.
Where would she even begin to explain? Would she even understand why she had to do this?
