Bane stood by the carriage as Aella walked towards him with her gown dragging against the ground.
"Normally, the lad helps the lady climb the cart but you are so insensitive to do that," Aella rolled her eyes as she bunched her skirt to step into the cart.
Once she was seated comfortably on the cushion seat, she looked at Bane who had an amused smile on his face.
"And pray tell, what is making you laugh now?" Aella huffed.
"Nothing much. You behave like an independent lady who can defend herself in any circumstance yet sometimes, you want to be treated like a fragile flower. Are you not confused?" Bane shook his head as he climbed in behind her.
"I am not," she hissed and turned to look at the trunks which were at the back of the carriage.
"Why did you take so many trunks? I do have clothes at home, you know," Aella looked up at him.
