Shujin arrived at a building after teleporting. It was a pretty small building, only five stories tall. One of the few short ones, in average, buildings there are at least seven floors. He chose there because it was at the heart of Shine-A. Not exactly at the center but that's exactly what he wanted. He faced the larger side of the city. He looked out the window. Saw buildings covering his view of the world. He was in the room with Ablaze and Ri.
Shujin stayed silent as he stared through the window. He walked up to the glass and placed his palm on it. He gently rests his forehead on the glass.
A large village that can't be called a village at all. It was definitely a small country. A female, in her early thirties, black hair, blue eyes, sweet smile.
"What are you doing?"
"Ablaze, why did you join me?"
"Well, because I wanted to set the world on fire."
"Souka..." (I see...)
Shujin steps backward five times. He clenched his left fist which wore all three rings. Overhaul on the ring finger, Star ring on the middle, and Gravity ring on the index. The Star ring started to grow bright and flickered a bit. He stretched his left arm out to his right and shoots a ray of light. An energy like a supernova. The ray was big enough. The ray cut through everything in its path. Shujin then swiped his left hand to the right and cut through half of the floor.
His ray reached about fourteen kilometers in radius of a near half circle. Every building in its path was crumbling to the ground. Collapsing down. From the streets, it looks like its raining concrete chunks.
The few thousand stubborn people who for some reason stayed got what they asked for. Crushed by unexpecting rubble or burnt to ash in second by a supernova. In seconds, hundreds fell.
Shujin then dropped to the ground and placed his palm on the floor. The Overhaul ring glowed brighter and the Star ring dimmed and smoked. He took apart everything within a five kilometer radius taking their building and Ablaze and Ri to account as exceptions.
Then he used the Gravity ring to create an artificial gravity in the sky with a radius of three kilometers. It affected all the debris that were falling and already scattered. Then it lifted them to the sky up high. Then with the Overhaul ring, he moved them through the air.
"Your turn, Ablaze."
"Sky's all mine."
Ablaze created a hole on the ceiling with an explosion. He casted "Feet Thrusters" and flew to the floating rubble's level. He casts "Gunpowder" on a far bigger scale. He spreads the dusts around and envelope each rubble with a thick layer of "Gunpowder". Shujin then drops the rubble and as they hit the ground, they act like an impact bomb. All at once, the streets, buildings, survivors were bombed in seconds.
Everything happened in a blitz and it was too fast for anyone to react.
The sorcerers were split into groups. Dan, Ava, and Cathy. Laura and the Twelve Moons. Heath, Vic, and Nate. Derrick, Zachary Varr, and Mike Varr. Sam and Volta. Jay, Hiro, and Kris. And a lot more sorcerers scattered throughout Shine A through C.
Jay, Hiro, and Kris were stuck under the rubble. They were the closest people to the explosive rubble rain. The Overhaul didn't affect them because Shujin only used it on inanimate objects.
The three were protected by Kris' thick "Ice Dome". Hiro used "Lightning Combat" to get through little paths in between the rubble. They limped clear of the streets and into a somehow still standing crumbling building.
"Fuck, we need to get help."
"This is kinda embarassing. We're nearly out and it just started."
"Kai, come find us in the center. We're down."
"Okay, I'll track you."
"We really aren't cut out for this shit."
"Hey, don't falter. It's just one wave of attack and we were in the heart of it. And we survived, be glad."
"How the hell did you find a positive in this shit?"
"Therapy, Hiro."
The three laughed one exhale at a time. Laughing was painful. Before Kris erected her dome, they were still hit by the barrage of exploding rubble. So they're wounded. They laughed a little, but their laughter was quickly shunned away by a sudden appereance of the absolute worst case scenario.
"Sh-Shujin?"
The three stood up and stood in a row. They prepared to fight. Shujin turned to them, his head glitching. He scratched his mask. Why did he do that?
"Kris, Jay, I love you."
"Why now, Hiro?"
"Seemed appropriate."
"Focus up, we need to run."
It's true, if any of the students were to encounter Shujin, Ablaze, or Ri, they are heavily encouraged to run away.
The three looked for an exist. Only one exit and it was through Shujin.
"Fuck it, we'll just make our own exit."
Jay turned around and blew a giant hole in the wall. However, they weren't free. Black semi-liquid acid was covering the entire building. The exit behind Shujin closed off too.
The three turned back to Shujin. Shujin reached his left hand and aimed at Jay. He then clenched his fist and activated the Gravity ring. In a blitz, Jay's left chest down to his lower left stomach were crushed into a pool of blood and flesh. His intestines fell out as blood spilled like a waterfall of blood. The floor flooded with his blood. He started shaking, his mouth gargled with blood. He looked to his right and saw Kris and Hiro. His vision blurred then faded to black. He dropped lifelessly to the ground. Dead.
Shujin dashed at Kris with "Inverted Light Dagger" drawn out. Hiro jumped in his path and took the stab through his abdomen. The tip of the blade made through the other side of his body. He coughed up blood. Shujin lifted the blade and Hiro. Then he extended the handle and turned the dagger into a spear. He stuck the bottom to the ground and Hiro was suspended in the air. Shujin pulled him down and had the entire spear covered in his blood. Hiro layed on the ground, blood spilling, mixing with Jay's.
Kris was shaking in anger. She raised her fist with her hand cast "Jagged Icr Gauntlet", originally inspired by Dan.
Shujin pointed his left index finger down and Kris plummets to the ground. She was being crushed by an incredible increase of gravitational pull. The ground dented along with her. Her blood vessels popped, her body became blueish red. Blood flowed out of her eyes and ears and nose. Shujin stopped his spell. She was no longer breathing. The three had died excruciatingly painful deaths. Shujin twitches and teleported to the highest point of a building he can find.
Terror dripped inside the room and loomed over the three bodies. He stared at them, nothing to say. Then Kai arrived seconds later.
