Chapter 51: New relationships.
Melissa woke up with a smile on her face. She snuggled the pillow next to her. She wondered what time it was.She had gone to bed quite late. She was up for hours with Jeremy in the garden. Nevertheless she slept like a baby. She grabbed her phone and she checked the the time it was already 12pm in the afternoon.
She got up from the bed and decided to wash up. She walked to the bathroom room. And then she realised that Nicky wasn't in the room. As a matter of fact she wasn't in the room last night either. Where could she be? As Melissa thought of this she heard a knock on the door. When she asked the person to come in Ruth walked in.
"Your awake and judging from the smile on your face you slept quite well." Ruth said sweetly.
"Yes, l did." Melissa replied with a smile. "Any chance you've seen Nicky she didn't spend the night here last night."
"Oh yes. She had spent the night in master Macklin's bedroom." Ruth said as a blush crept on her face. She had remembered how she accidentally saw them kissing passionately in the hallway without a care in the world. They didn't even notice when she passed by them.
"Oh." Was all Melissa could say her friend was just full of surprises.
"By the way miss Williams everyone is waiting for you at the terrace they're all having brunch there and I was asked to come check on you." Ruth said.
"Ok I'll finish up quickly and go join them." Melissa replied and rushed to the bathroom.

"I think l should go and check on her." Nicky said perplexed.
"You don't have to worry, Ruth has already gone to check on her I'm sure she's alright." Steve said as he rubbed Nicky's hand assuring her that Melissa was fine. They had gotten really close last night and now he could feel a relationship bruing between them. He couldn't explain how he felt but he felt really good around her.
"I'm a bad person I abandoned her the entire night and I didn't even check up her this morning. I'm sure something is wrong ."
"Maybe she just had to much to drink last night." Tony suggested.
"No she didn't." Jeremy defended. All four of them where seated at the terrace for brunch.
"How do you know what she was doing last night." Steve asked with a smirk. Everyone one waited for Jeremy's reply eagerly but he said nothing and just then Melissa walked in with a smile on her face she greeted everyone cheerfully and sat down next to Nicky. She smiled at Jeremy who was sitting across her and he returned the smile which left Tony and Steve dumbstruck.
Steve cleared his throat. And with a sheepish grim on his face he said to Melissa "I'm guessing you had a blast at the party last night."
"Uhm..Yeah. l had a wonderful time." Melissa replied with a polite smile. She didn't want to offend Steve but she barely spent 20 minutes at the party last night.
"Speaking of the party l didn't see you anywhere. I kept on searching for you. I was really worried." Nicky said.
"Searching for me? Are you sure about that that. Cause I heard you were rather preoccupied last night." Melissa said teasingly as she looked over at Steve.
"Well, you seem a bit to happy this morning. I'm guessing you had a good night too." Nicky defended she wasn't going to let Melissa get the last laugh.
"I did." Melissa said cheerfully "But not as good as yours." Melissa said with a sweet chuckle.
Tony and Steve couldn't help but laugh. They knew exactly what they were talking about especially Steve. Boy, what a good night he had last night.
After brunch Steve told everyone he had made arrangements for an outting. They would all go bowling which was one of his favourite games and then after that they would all have an amazing dinner at his favourite Italian restaurant.
Usually Jeremy would always insist on not going anywhere that required him to have some fun but this time was different so he agreed to Steve's plan.
The gang of five all went to a bowling alley. And they decided to make it a competition. Last man standing to knock down all the pins win.
Nicky went first but didn't knock down anything. She wasn't suprised because she knew she sucked at bowling. Next was Tony who was able to knock down a few but not all. Steve also had a go and knocked down a few. Then it was Melissa's turn. She wanted to turn down her turn because she hadn't bowled in a while. But the gang refused. Steve and Nicky hype her up saying she could do it. So she grabbed the bowling ball and surprisingly knock down all the pins.
Everyone cheered for her. She smiled shyly. Up next was Jeremy who flawlessly and effortlessly knocked down all the pins.
"Yeah, rub it in our faces." Steve teased.
After a fun time bowling they went over to an Italian restaurant for dinner. Which was really exciting the girls tried a lot of delicious Italian food.
While they all ate Nicky shared her fun experiences at work with clients.
Melissa wasn't able to concentrate on her food or the discussion at the table. She just kept staring at Jeremy from time to time. He was sitting right next to her. Jeremy who noticed this lean over to her a whisper in her ear.
"Quit staring, I'm getting uncomfortable."
Everyone at the table of course noticed Melissa's eyes trailing over at Jeremy from time to time but they were shocked by Jeremy's reaction. They all wondered what he had whispered in her ear. But while they were all still shocked they saw Melissa grab Jeremy by the shoulder forcing him to lean back again and she whispered back "Would you mind if l painted a portrait of you. You have such unique features."
"Sure why not." Jeremy whispered back.
