Chapter 29 - Chapter Twenty-Eight: Not the Time for Modesty

Master Long swept out of the Tian Delicacies Restaurant and out to the place where carriages were parked on the street without a backward glance.  If he had looked behind him, he might have noticed a black-clad figure half-hidden behind the corner of the yellow brick building.  The figure was small, the face entirely masked by a veil, so that only a pair of dark, shrewd eyes were seen in a flash of pale skin.  The mysterious figure watched Master Long disappear into the carriage with MeiLan still in his arms before it disappeared into the shadow behind the building.
