Chapter 1 ( Vicky's POV)
Finaly!
I made it. I actually flew all the way from Slovenia to Scotland and I even managed not to spill my secret to Andrew the whole time.
So basically, he still had no idea i was coming. Hopefully, he gave me his address and not a quashy one.
Well, guess I'll have to find out.
First things first. Since I'm planning on staying for more than a few days, I need a rental car. Once I managed to find it and got myself a nice few year old honda civic (yeah, I know, I could find something better, but I could also find something worse, so shush!) I put the address on my phone and started driving.
I was a ball of nerves. I had no idea if he'd be happy to see me. Shocked for sure, I had no idea if he would even like what he saw.
Sure we joked sometimes about what would happen if we visited one another. It was one thing to talk about and completely something else to actually do.
I finally found a nice little house with a garage attached to it. There were a few cars parked outside in different stages of damage and halfway repaired, so I knew on the spot the house was the one I was looking for.
But the garage door was closed, so I assumed he wasn't working. So that left me to knock on the main door.
Now wish me good luck, I guess.
I stepped outside of my car fumbling with my keys to lock it, but my hands made the task at hand seem impossible.
Suddenly, I heard the door opening behind my back.
"Hey! I have a full schedule for 2 weeks in advance, so if you need your car fixed fast, you had better find someone else to take a look at it."
Damn! His voice alone sent my hormones into overdrive.
I turned around slowly but realized my mistake as soon as I did so.
He was standing right behind me, his eyes widening the moment he recognized my face.
"I could swear I didn't drink today, but damn, if I'm going to have hallucinations, at least they are pretty."
I couldn't help but giggle at his response to seeing me. I pinched his forearm and explained to him: " just to make you see youre not sleeping or hallucinating. Hi Andrew. It's nice to finally see you in person." I smiled shyly at him and extended my hand awkwardly.
He glanced at my hand for a second, then lifted his eyes back to mine and a huge grin made his features even more god-like. He was perfection in every way a woman could dream of.
He was tall, muscular, tattoos peeking out of his t-shirt color and down the length of both his arms. He had sandy blond hair and blue eyes. And that smile...It showed two perfect dimples on each side.
Those big muscular arms were spreading wide right now and the next second he was enveloping me in a big bear hug and lifting me right off the floor. Since he was a head taller than me, that was no problem for him.
"None of that hand-shaking bullshit, Vicky. I waited for months to get a chance to feel you in my arms and now I can. " He drew back so he could look me straight in my eyes again. His grin was still in place and I bet my expression wasn't much different.
"I had no idea you were coming, gorgeous. Why didn't you tell me? I would come get you to the airport, show you around. I bet you forgot to eat again." His grin was replaced by a frown at his last sentence.
A blush spread through my cheeks at his use of my own nickname he gave me and then at his worry about me forgetting to eat on a like ... daily basis.
" I did eat. A nice flight attendant brought me some pretzels on my way here, and I didn't know how you'd react to my coming here, to be honest."
"First. We need to fix the not eating part because pretzels don't count as food. Second...Are you kidding me? I was planning my own trip to kidnap you like I promised as soon as I could get a few weeks free from my garage. Now that you're here, I can say you just made my day a whole lot brighter, and now I can finally do what I've been wanting to since the day I first saw you on video call."
I didn't even get a chance to even ask him what he meant. His lips were on mine the second he stopped speaking.
And my world lighted up with fireworks behind my eyelids.
