Trishanna stared down at the big, bad Alpha kneeling before her. The view was something not even in her furthest imagination would she dare to dream. The way James looked at her with such hope was the final straw that broke her rationality. Laughing, she doubled over with tears streaming down her face. Confused, James stood, declaring proudly, "You see? She is so happy that she can't contain herself."
Trishanna righted herself immediately. "Happy? You think I'm happy at your sham of a proposal?" Flinging off his hand, she began to raise her voice. "You think I'm going to believe your bullshit of an excuse of why you treated me so badly? Hahaha, you think I'm stupid enough to think that it was the crush of a pup to call me names, or the 'confused' feelings of a man, a leader, to allow and even encourage the shame and embarrassment I went through?"
Shaking her head, she stepped back. "Even if we were mates, even if I was still too young to feel the pull, right here, right now, I Trishanna, the orphan Rosied raised with love and strength hereby reject you Alpha James Black as my mate AND my Alpha." Everyone was shocked. Especially James. He couldn't believe that she rejected him not once but twice in one blow.
Even though he knew that the bond wasn't real, the fact remained that he had begun to think of her as his future Luna, and with her rejecting him as her Alpha, she basically declared that she no longer belonged in his pack. This meant that he just lost his only advantage that he had to make her submit. Even if he were to use his Alpha tone, she was free to ignore him. Shame and embarrassment filled his heart, but there was also genuine pain as well.
Councilwoman Seers hummed deep in thought. Honestly, she was not surprised that their bond was fake, but the hatred she sensed in Trishann's rejection was surprising. "Well the dearie, since you've rejected on Alpha, the question remains what about the other?" Trishanna was so angry that she almost forgot about the others standing in the room.
Inhaling to calm herself, she turned to the grandmotherly figure. It appears she decided to be her personal angel since the councilwoman always ends up by her side. "I don't know. I've never met him before and right now I don't think I"m in any position to answer that honestly."
"I can understand that." She looked at her nephew who had a myriad of emotions on his face. Placing a warm hand on her shoulder she leaned in. "Well dearie, how about you listen to my suggestion, hmmm? And if you agree, we can put things in place today."
"Okay Miss Cynthia, I'm listening."
