Chapter 14 - Chapter 14 The Dark Kingdom

"Come out, come out, Eirene," the light guardian says in a sing-along, as the dark cloud looms on top of the town square, carrying the four sisters' guardians with it.

"Come out, you coward!" The guardian of the skies and land bellows out, rumbling the earth beneath.

"YOU KNOW WHAT EIRENE! I felt bad for you when you were banished, I thought you didn't deserve that, I thought you were a good guardian that didn't deserve the banishment, but you are nothing but a coward Eirene, you don't deserve to be a guardian, because you'd rather hide than fight! COME ON EIRENE! COME OUT AND FIGHT! COME ON! YOU CAN'T HIDE FOREVER" the woman in red screams out to the ground beneath, as thunder booms through the skies, blasting her voice through the skies and land.

"Who said I was hiding?" Eirene's voice looms through the thunder, as she stands levitating in the air, in front of the red guardian, that if she jumped she would reach her.

"Well, your brave, I'll give you that. But I'd more call it stupidity than bravery" the guardian of the skies and land says, laughing to herself as she looks back for her sister's guardians, but finds them gone.

"What's wrong, Dalia? Did you lose something?" Eirene asks, taunting the red guardian, as her eye wander along the guardian of the skies and land, fagging looking with her.

"What did you do?" The guardian of skies and land asks, looking back at her banished sister with so much contempt.

"Oh! Come on, Dalia! Aren't we over blaming me for everything yet? I thought you would grow out of that by now" Eirene says, as Dalia screams at the girl's words, stretching out her arms to the guardian of gifts and magic as thunder is released from the sky passing through her fingertips.

Eirene catches the thunder with her hands, turning with it in a delicate but strong twirl like a ballet dance, redirecting its direction, throwing it back to the ground leaving it to clash to the ground with a loud bang.

Eirene looks up to see the fuming face of her guardian sister, driving a smirk on her lips.

"Catch me if you can," Eirene says flying past her sister guardian to the south of the town square, as she sours through the skies, leaving a blast of wind in her trail.

"EIRENE!" The guardian of the skies and land bellows out, flying after the girl, as Eirene's giggles travel back to her ears, causing another below of screams before she throws another thunder to her washed in pink figure, that Eirene easily dodges.

"You missed!" Eirene calls out again, twisting to catch a glimpse of the fuming red guardian following behind her, earning another scream of anger, That sends her into fits of laughter.

The dark cloud wafts through the dark skies as the guardians arrive at the central square, the silence sounding through the town stopping even time itself.

"Where is she?" The guardian of the creature of the skies and land mumbles to herself before jumping down from the dark cloud, landing on the ground with a thud.

"Eirene?" The guardian in gold calls out, her fingertips digging through the ground as her eyes gleam gold, her hair rising as it starts glowing gold, "come on, my little friends, tell me who's down there?" The guardian asks, trying to communicate with the creatures living beneath the ground, "where is she?" She mumbles to herself, as she hears the sound of a roar blasting through the sky.

The guardian turns to the direction of the sound, seeing the winged creature and on it her sister guardian of gift and magic, Eirene.

"Eirene?" The guardian calls out, squinting her eyes to aid for the sun, unaware of the disappearing dark cloud and with it her sisters guardians.

"Help me, Belli," Eirene says as the creature turns away, taking her with him.

"Eirene wait!" The guardian calls out as she flies after the winged creature.

"Help me, Belli. Please don't let them hurt me" Eirene's voice sounds through the skies as the guardians follow behind the distressed girl sitting cross-legged on the winged creature's back, sobbing in her arms.

"Eirene, stop! No one is going to hurt you!" The guardian of the creature of the skies and land calls out, following close behind the winged creature, carrying her sister's guardian with it.

"But you hurt all those people trying to find me! I'm afraid of what you would do if you catch me" Eirene's sobbing grows louder, as the creature roars, flying faster through the skies.

"No your wrong! I am the guardian of all creatures of the skies and lands, I would never hurt any creature! Living or dead!" The Guardian says as the winged creature looks back at her, tilting its head to the side.

"Your not making sense, Belli" the guardian of gifts and magic says, with an uncertain voice.

"I meant, I never hurt those people, I shielded them from any harm, we never attacked the western kingdom we only made it look like we did" the guardian explains, averting her gaze as Eirene's figure turns to look at the guardian of the creatures of the skies and land.

"No one is hurt?" Eirene asks as the princess of the south in the winged creature's form anticipates her answer.

"No! Everyone is safe! We didn't even hurt a fly! Unless that fly bumped into a tree and died, which in that case it might be our fault" the guardian groans, placing her head in her hands and releasing a frustrated scream.

"So you only killed a fly?" Eirene asks as the winged creature rumbles, hiding the southern princess's chuckles.

"Oh! I didn't mean to! It was just supposed to scare you off! So you would come out of hiding!" The guardian of the creatures of the skies and land says, sounding almost in tears.

Allega snickers at the guardian's words, but keeps the image of Eirene talking to her, "so you just scared those people?" Eirene asks, standing to walk at the edge of the creature's body, balancing on its extruded tail as it wafts her up and down with the wind.

"We had to! There was no other choice! You were making so much mess to the balance between the worlds! This had gone on for too long, Eirene!" The Guardian says as the winged creature descends to the small clearing by the ocean, landing next to the tall boy, standing with his dagger in his hands.

"Really, Eirene? You brought a child into this again?" The guardian grumbles, seeing the boy standing by the winged creature with Eirene on top.

"Actually" Eirene begins, before the guardians figure disappears, and the winged creature's form changes to the southern princess, "a child brought you to this" Allega finishes, standing beside the tall boy as they drive their daggers out.

"Ugh! I was tricked by kids, again? Dalia will never let me live this down" the guardian of the creatures of the skies and land grumbles, turning to leave.

"WAIT!" The two call out to the guardian, stopping her in her tracks to turn and look at them.

"What? You know that dagger won't hurt me" the guardian says, pointing at the mirroring gold Crescent with red rubies decorated dagger in both their hands.

"It can't hurt you" Allega begins as she unmasks the invisibility from the two creatures sitting on either side of the boy, "but it will hurt them" the princess finishes, picking up the cat from the ground as she gently pets it with the hand holding the dagger, smirking at the guardian dressed in gold, clearly distressed with the sight in front of her.

"You won't hurt, a cat and a dog...would you?" The guardian asks, looking around her for the joke to stop.

"Would you risk it?" The girl questions, as she drops the cat from her hand with the dagger, catching her by her head in her other hand, dangling her in the air, as the small creature bellows a shattering scream.

"But it's just a cat" the guardian almost pleads.

"Fine, I guess you don't care about ALL the creatures of the skies and land" the girl shrugs, as her hands go up, poking the small creature on its neck sending it to scream out in pain.

"OKAY! OKAY!" The guardian in gold says in a panic, waving her hand out to the girl with a sickening smile while driving a knife to the cat's neck.

"We want you to stay here," the tall boy says, crouching to pet the brown dog with the blades of the small dagger.

"Why? Until when?" The guardian asks, her eyes jumping from the cat to the dog.

"Until we have a go from our friends," the tall boy says, pulling out the other walkie-talkie from his pocket and dangling it around for the guardian to see.

"When is that?" The guardian asks, her eyes wavering from one creature to the next.

The tall boy shrugs as he looks over to the princess shrugging herself, "might take long, sit down, while we wait" Craig says, pointing at the ground beneath her bare feet.

The winged creature wafts through the sky, as the guardian of the night follows closely behind, eyes trailed on the figure of the guardian of gifts and magic on the creature's back.

Silence sounds through the whole way, and the forest suddenly quiets for the silent confrontation between them, only the sound of the wind and snapping branches is heard as they pass through, flying at the speed of light.

Eirene's figure looks behind her before she walks along the winged creature's back stopping at the edge of his back. The guardian of the dark gaze doesn't falter from her sister guardian's eyes as the winged creature descends to the ground, its pace not faulting and with it the guardian of dark following behind.

The guardian follows close behind the creature, eyes trailing on her sister's guardian's eyes as the creature dives through the ground disappearing from the surface, taking the guardian of gifts and magic with it. The guardian in the dark lands on the ground with a thump, landing on one knee with the other out and her hand on the ground for more support, landing superhero style.

The guardian of the dark slowly looks around her to the small clearing beside the ocean. The crashing of waves was the only sound heard for miles, before a rustle sounds behind her from the woods, causing her to turn swiftly, her hands outstretched, with a small mist of black smoke drenching her hands.

The sound disappearing with what brought it, she stays in her position with her arms outstretched, before a deafening tone blasts through the air, causing the guardian of the dark to fall to her knees, grabbing onto her ears, screaming out in pain.

Andreas stands behind the guardian, screaming in pain on the ground, with a microphone in hand and noise-canceling headphones on over small earplugs, the deafening tone blasting through the small clearing sending the guardian through excruciating pain.

**********

Achilles roars as the light guardians shoot another ball of light at the girl standing on top of his back (in the winged creature's form). The ball of light misses the girl as Achilles swoops to the side, rotating in the air as Eirene's figure turns with her.

"Stop running Eirene!" The white guardian says following close behind the winged creature, as her sister guardian stands on the creature's back.

"Stop attacking me!" Eirene's voice calls out, turning behind her o look at her sister guardian of the light and waving her arms about in frustration.

"You've crossed the line Eirene! We can't let it go this time!" The guardian of the light says, blasting another ball of light towards the girl standing on top of the winged creature as it rolls around the skies trying to avoid the guardian of light's deadly hits, missing the ball by just a fraction.

"Seriously! STOP!" Eirene screams out to the guardian in white, fear sounding through her voice mixed with frustration.

"This will only stop when you stop!" The guardian of the light says, throwing another ball of light aiming for the girl's head as the creature dives down the ground sinking to the depths of the blue ocean.

The guardian of light follows behind the creature, diving through the waters and sinking to the bottom depths. The woman in white stops in the depth of the ocean, floating around the dark waters, the only light in the deep blue waters radiating from her.

The guardian of light squirts her eyes, trying to gain sight of her surrounding, seeing nothing but darkness wafting her around, the guardian of light creates a ball of light in her hand waving it around her to catch glimpse of her surroundings before she throws it forward, it's light fading away as it leaves her fingertips.

The woman in white coughs, feeling breathless before swimming up to the surface of the water, eyes closed from the crushing water waves in her face as she swims up.

The guardian of light Cordelia takes a deep breath as she makes her way to the top of the ocean, blinking away the water from her eyes as she slowly opens her gray orbs only to be met with darkness. The guardian of light looks around herself, confused by the absence of light from the couple of seconds she has been under the water. She brings a small ball of light in her hands throwing it to the sky before it disappears again as soon as it leaves her fingertips, the darkness seeming to swallow it whole.

The guardian throws another ball to the sky, then to her sides, she dives into the depths of the ocean, swimming around before coming back up to the same darkness, the darkness that seems to swallow her light. The guardian throws her ball of light, one followed by the other, and not long after the balls of light start to fade and their sizes grow smaller, draining the guardian of light with them.

The Guardian releases a bellowing scream of frustration, splashing at the waters, as Achilles stands at the edge of the ocean, its waves hitting his legs, his eyes gleaming blue and his hair radiating a strong blue light, as his focus stays on the black circular orb around the ocean, where the guardian of light struggles inside like a hamster stuck in a hamster ball, her screams masked by the big ball of darkness, trapping her in the dark.

**********

"STOP!" The guardian of the dark's voice shrill through the deafening microphone status, to which the prince of the south only replies with silence followed by shaking his head slowly, his face solid as a rock.

"PLEASE! IT HURTS!" The guardian of the dark pleads with the prince, her hands almost digging through her ears. The southern prince shrugs with his both arms before tapping on the noise-canceling headphones on his ears and proceeding to mouth, 'I can't hear you', to which the guardian screams get louder, bellowing in pain mixed with anger.

The guardian squirms around the ground, nails digging at her ears, blood dripping to her side, before she swiftly releases her hands, clasping them wide in front of her, as a large swirl of dark mist releases from her fingers, blasting around her arm in a big circle, scraping through the scene.

Andreas tries to block the shooting mist with his arms, covering his face and looking away from the round ball of mist coming at him with high speed. The southern prince stumbles backward as the ball of mist travels through him engrossing him in the dark mist.

The southern prince quickly looks up around him to be met with darkness, he squirts his eyes looking for the guardian of the dark in the wafting cloud of mist around him, but only sees the faint movement of her large gown before he sees her fist travel to the side of his jaw.

The southern prince's head clocks to the side dropping to the ground before he could duck away from the punch, he quickly looks up trying to see his opponent, the cloud of mist blocking his vision, he waves around with his arms before he hastily stands up from the ground, his fists held up in front of his face.

"SHOW YOURSELF!" The prince of the south bellows to the quiet vacuum space, he only realizes the silence after he tries removing the headphones from his ears but finds them missing from his head, the cloud of mist masking not just his vision but also his sound.

"COME ON YOU COWARD! I'LL GO EASY ON YOU!" The prince yells out, as his voice disappears in the dark mist. The prince sees a distant figure to his right, his head jerks to his right following the subtle silhouette of the form, as the guardian of darkness jumps on him, crushing him to the ground with her knees on the nape of his neck.

"You are the coward, that used my stupid weakness against me! Instead of fighting like a true warrior!" The guardian in the dark spits out, venom almost dripping from her tongue.

"A true warrior doesn't hide in the darkness to attack their opponent" the prince of the south says, his tone matching the guardian of the dark.

"I hid in the darkness to take that stupid mic away before my ears bled out, not to fight you, I can do that in my sleep" the guardian of the dark says, her grip around the prince's neck tightening.

"Fine. Let's fight for real, and you will see how a real warrior fights" the northern prince says, his eyes taunting the guardian of darkness, holding him in a chock hold.

The guardian in dark, stares at the southern prince for a little while before she slowly rises from his chest, picking her knees from his neck, she stands next to him, eyes drilling holes into his face.

"Then get up...warrior," the guardian of the darkness says, aggressively picking the prince of the south by his shirt collars before pushing him back, standing in a fighting stance as he does too.

"You kind of have a benefit, don't you think?" The prince of the south says, waving his arm around the cloud of mist around them, squinting at the figure in front of him, trying to catch the guardians' full form.

"This will be a fair fight. No more of that piercing noise" the guardian says, jerking her head toward the microphone discarded on the ground, only visible to her eyes.

"Deal, you don't use your mist, I don't use the annoying sound," the prince says, earning a nod of agreement from the guardian of the darkness as she holds her fingers outstretched in the air, while the mist travels into her fingertips, the cloud of darkness disappearing instantly.

"So how do we start this? Do we count to three or...?" The prince of the south begins, as he cracks his neck and fist.

"Oh stop your rumblings," the guardian of the darkness says, swinging at the prince of the south.

The prince of the south dodges to the side, swinging at the guardian's side, as she catches his blow mid-air. The guardian of the dark kicks at his knees, sending him down to the ground, as the prince of the south catches her by her waist swinging her down to the ground, the guardian of darkness kicks at the prince of south, throwing another punch before he holds himself up.

The guardian of darkness dodges another hit and lunges, flipping them over so she is on top of him. She get a good hold on the southern prince shoving him down over and over, crushing him against the small rock rubles, the guardian slams the prince of the south multiple times on the rubles, as his blood decorates their gray textured form.

"Enough of this, prince" the guardian growled, venom spitting at the last word, "Yield! And I let you go!"

The southern prince shook his head slowly, the small rubles crackling under his head. He was breathing hard, and his eyes seemed to be glassy and watery, the guardian wondered if he could see her at all and thought otherwise, as the southern prince squeezes his eyes shut and open multiple times, missing her line of sight. The prince looked like he was in a lot of pain, but he still kept up, struggling to free himself from the guardian's strong grip, her knees holding his hands down while one hand chokes his neck and the other outstretched with her dark blade, ready to attack if he tries anything. 'what is wrong with this guy?' Was what the guardian of darkness thought before her hands dropped on the man's face, her blade disappearing from her fingers, punching him across his sweat glazed face.

"Yield!" The guardian of darkness shouts at the southern prince, as he shakes his head again, this time slower.

The southern prince squeezed the water out his eyes, trying to focus on the guardian before his eyes narrowed and then he smiled, a bloody smile, that sent shivers down the guardian's back, before she throws another punch at him, this time his head jerks to the side and he stays like that.

The Guardian threw her head back releasing a long breath, before standing up from the man's unconscious body. The woman in black stood looking down at the bloodied man for a moment, trying to comprehend his strange behavior, before she extends her hands out to his body, as a dense cloud of mist escapes her fingers, dressing the man's full body in darkness.

The guardian of darkness walks away from the prince's body, passing by the discarded microphone in the small clearing, she blasts a dark blade passing it through the center, destroying the small noise machine, as she walks away from the scene. Behind her the southern prince's hands rise from the dense cloud of dark mist, followed by his full figure, standing to face the retreating back of he guardian of darkness.

The guardian of darkness ducks, as the southern prince's small dagger wafts through her long black hair, turning in her heels to her back with her arms stretched out, a cloud of mist shooting through her fingers, catching the southern prince as he jumps at her back swinging his sword out.

The dense cloud of must catches the prince on his neck, both his hands and legs enclosing around them, floating in the air as he squirms trying to free himself.

"That's not the thanks I was expecting" the guardian of darkness looks up at the southern prince floating a few centimeters from the sandy beach, squirming to free himself from the dark mist scraping him.

"Thanks? Why would I thank you?" The southern prince asks, scoffing at the woman's words.

"WELL, I FUCKING SAVED YOUR LIFE!" The guardian screams out fiercely, pointing her hand at the cloud of mist looming on the ground where the prince lay just moments ago, with his face almost cracked open.

"AFTER YOU FUCKING TRIED TO TAKE IT!" The southern prince hisses resentfully, as his figure changes into a snake, escaping the hands and leg's dark mist entrapment but still held in a chock held by the mist around his neck. The southern prince's snake form hisses at the guardian of darkness, his tail snapping towards her, missing by just a centimeter, her face as still as ever.

"YOU, WANTED TO FIGHT!" The guardian of darkness screamed at the snake squirming around the air, held by a cloud of mist on his neck, changing into a small cockroach, as the dark mist of cloud entraps his six legs, the mist around his neck tightening with his smaller size, "you can't escape, might as well stop doing that" the guardian of darkness says dryly, crossing her hands over her chest, and standing idly by the southern prince as he changes his form to a camel, then an elephant than a bird then lastly to a cat.

"Why are you helping her?" The guardian of darkness asks, the hard-breathing cat, as its form changes back into the southern prince's form.

"Because she is my sister, I will help her no matter what," the southern prince says, breathing hard, his gaze locked on the guardian's dark orbs.

"I meant Eirene. The guardian of gifts and magic" the guardian of darkness says, rolling her eyes, to which the prince responds with a shrug, "you don't even know why you are helping her? And here you are risking your life for her?" The guardian scoffs turning to leave the prince.

"I helped because you were attacking the western kingdom! Not because I wanted to help another guardian!" The prince calls out, stopping the leaving woman in her tracks.

"We never attacked the western kingdom..." The guardian of darkness replies, her back against the southern prince.

"Are you kidding me? You set fire to all the land and houses in your way!" The prince calls out scoffing at the guardian's claims.

"It was just a..." The guardian of the dark begins, as the little prince's voice sounds through the small box in the prince of the south's pockets.

"Release the guardians"

"What did you do?" The guardian of the dark asks, pointing an accusing hand to the southern prince before blasting through the skies, heading for the guardian of the skies and land.
