Grandpa, Robbin, David, Buster, and Helena were being taken to the base to Richard. The rest of the fairies except grandpa were locked up in cells along with the other fairies. The guards took grandpa to the general's office, where Richard was waiting patiently for his prize to appear.
"Well well well, if it isn't the legendary explorer.", said Richard with an evil smile on his face.
"You got me in a lot of trouble to find you today. You are...(he chuckled) a really good hider. Merely because..... you have the power to be invisible.", he continued.
Grandpa put up a strong, hatred face for Richard. He looked at him spat on the floor,
"Rot in hell you monster.". The guard punched him in the stomach and forced him down.
"You know what the problem is Cole?..... You can disappear, you can hide..... which means that you can escape anytime.", said Richard. He picked up an apple from the table and walked towards grandpa. There was dead silence in the room. The general was sitting on his desk quietly, waiting for Richard to finish up grandpa.
"Your powers are a problem.", sad Richard as he continued to munch on the apple, "But what if... I take them away.", he said with a creepy laugh. Richard got closer to grandpa until grandpa could feel his breath on his face. He brought his fingers closer to his mouth and weirdly curled them. Grandpa showed no signs of fear as Richard showed signs of his raging power. He began to lip a spell with his eyes closed.
After a while, grandpa began to feel dizzy and weird. He thought he was going to pass out any moment. He felt his liver being squeezed tightly and his heart being ripped off. He tried his best not to scream out in pain but his face told otherwise. Perspiration ran down his forehead and his lips quivered. He groaned softly.
Richard took out all of the powers, all of the fairy dust from his body. Grandpa thud on the ground, shaking with cold.
"That's it.", whispered Richard. "Now..... you can't hide from me.".
Grandpa was lying on the floor, grunting in pain when Richard grabbed his chin and asked,
"Where is the key?".
"What key?", said grandpa in a shaking voice.
Richard forced him down the round and screamed,
"THE WING KEY! I NEED IT!".
Grandpa laughed and coughed for a little while. Richard looked at him with the fire of revenge in his eyes.
"What is so funny about this?", he asked.
Grandpa got up from the ground, looked him in the eyes, and said, "It was destroyed when you destroyed fairyland.". Grandpa had a confident look on his face. He blew a kiss and gave Richard a big smile.
Grandpa knew his fate was about to come to an end. Richard would not spare his life if he didn't know where the key was. Richard flew around the office in distress, breaking lamps and trashing the place out of anger. He commanded the guards to throw grandpa in the cells with the rest of the fairies.
"Take him away NOW!", he screamed. He flew over to the general and squeezed his shoulder with his nails.
"Give... me.... the box.", said Richard. The general reached into his desk and pulled out a locked box. Richard snatched it from his hands and glared at it with amusement.
"If you have magic, then why do you need the key?", asked the general.
Richard turned around and said, "YOU FOOL! This box was locked by the sacred fairies of the past. If I could open it with magic, I would have never made a deal with an idiot like you.".
Bela was still in the woods looking for Abby. It was almost like Abby had vanished from the phase of the earth,
"Abby! Abby!", she whispered. But there was no reply from her yet again. Bela was lying low, trying not to get in trouble when she heard a faint cough in a distance. She quickly followed the cough and approached a cave.
"Abby.", she whispered. The cave was darker than the night. She didn't have good vibes from it either.
"Abby.", she said again in a whimpering voice.
She felt a figure emerge from the darkness.
"Bela? Is that you?", whispered Abby, "I heard bomb noises so I came and hid here.".
Bela flew towards Abby and grabbed her in her arms, "Thank god, you are okay.", said Bela.
Abby stepped back and asked where the others had gone. Bela told them how they were ambushed and taken to the base. She continued to tell her about how she flew away to search for her. Bela and Abby were trying so hard to come up with a plan. When they were exchanging more ideas about the breakout, Abby showed Bela the key in her pocket.
"Where did you get that?", asked Bela. She stared at the key as if it was a way out.
"I found it in my parent's room.", said Abby, "It was hidden away in a secret compartment underneath the floor.".
Bela was staring at the key with greed. Abby noticed her reaction and became a little suspicious.
"Give it to me.", said Bela as she reached out for the key in her hand. Abby pulled her hand back and stepped away.
"Why do you want it?", asked Abby. Bela walked towards Abby and said, "Do you have any idea what it is. Give it to me child!", she groaned. Abby was terrified by Bela's reaction. She began to barge at Abby with full strength.
"GIVE IT TO ME!", she yelled. Bela flew towards Abby and forced her down the ground. Abby was struggling to fight Bela. Bela was powerful, Abby was no match for her.
"Get off me!", said Abby.
"This is my ticket out! Give me the KEY!", said Bela.
"Why are you doing this? I healed you.", said Abby in a cracking voice. Bela grabbed by the throat and looked straight into her eyes, "This key.... is what Richard wants. He had me searching for it for years. If I give it to him, I will be free.", laughed Bela. Abby coughed and wrestled to get Bela off of her.
"You...have been....working for him? All this time, your sympathy was just pretend?", said Abby.
"I have been trying to locate the key for years now. I went on missions with your stupid grandpa, put my life in danger for them, just to look for this key. Now that I have it..... I will pay my debt and be free.", said Bela.
Bela was a strong fairy but she ran out of fairy dust and Abby still had some. She blew some fairy dust in her eyes and slithered away from her. Bela screamed as she covered her eyes,
"You BRAT. I will get you!". Abby tried to get up but, Bela wouldn't give her any chance. She pulled her back as Abby tried to slide away. The only way to survive was to kill Bela. Abby tried using her powers to lift Bela from her but wasn't that skilled yet. She didn't know who to use her powers. Abby struggled to free herself from the hands of Bela. Abby was on the ground when she noticed a stick a little further away from her. She tried to bring it closer with her magic. After several tries, Abby finally got it! She drove the stick through Bela, Bela gasped and froze in one position. Abby took the opportunity to slide out.
Bela was having trouble breathing. She started panting heavily. She tried to get up on her knees but fell to the ground. Abby curled herself in a corner when Bela begged for help,
"Abby please (She sobbed) Help me.". Aby stayed firm in her position, she didn't move an inch. Bela tried to drag herself across the cave towards Abby. She was drenched with blood; her hands were dripping with blood. Bela looked like a creepy character from a horror movie.
"Please help me. I will die... Could.... you live with this regret the rest of your life.", she said.
"It would have been harder for you to live carrying the burden of your brother's death.", said Abby. Bela gasped and started laughing... She flipped herself and laid straight on the floor looking at the cave ceiling. There was no sound in the cave for a while except for the heavy breathing of Bela. After a while, the panting stopped. Abby walked up to Bela and saw her dead. As happy as she was, she was gutted to see Bela die like that. Abby closed her eyes and proceeded out of the cave. Abby was the only fairy left to rescue the others. She took some time to practice her powers, learned to control them on her own. She went to the base when she knew she was ready.
The lockdown had been lifted and the base was accessible once again. Because of the incidents earlier, the general tightened the security. Abby had to get in the base, but how was the question. Abby was not planning on trading the key with Richard, instead, she wanted to find the thing it unlocked. Because Richard was only looking for the key, it meant that he already had the item that needed to be unlocked. Abby tried to think of the place that Richard would keep the box.
She figured out that the box was with Richard all the time because it had been something extremely valuable, that he traded an entire fairy world for. Abby thought of the things that held great value to Richard.
Richard didn't have a family, he didn't have a home, so what could he possibly want? Richard was only greedy for power. And then it clicked, POWER. The thing that the key unlocks might be a source of unpredictable power.
She used the key as a threat. But first Abby needed a way to sneak into the base without anyone noticing. Abby counted the number of guards at the entrance, at the back door, and around the rooftop. There were a total of 50 guards, guarding the outside only. The inside will would have more security than the outside. Abby panicked for a little while, she thought that she was not fit for the mission. But the intense screams of the fairies inside the base submerged her heart with sympathy and sorrow. The misery inflicted upon them was the source of Abby's confidence. She wanted these screams, these torturing voices to stop.
She saw a guard taking a round of the base. The only way to get into the base now was through the door. The rooftops were well secured and the exits were sealed tightly. Abby snuck behind the guard, making sure that the camera didn't catch her. She attacked the guard from behind and wrapped her legs around his neck. She suffocated that guard till death. Although she felt guilty about her actions, she knew it was the only way to free her family. She disguised herself as one of the humans and proceeded towards the main gate.
Last time, Mano and Daji disguised themselves as humans and entered the base as one of them. They caused the humans a lot of trouble and they were not ready to take this risk again. The entrance of the door had a big metal detector attached to the top. The sensor stated whether the person was a human or a fairy. Abby was 10th in line. She heard something beep in a distance. She stood on her toes to see a metal object bleeping every time someone went through. When the light turned green the lady in the sensor said,
"Not fairy.".
The process was the same for everyone who came from outside.
"Hurry up! Pass through it!", said one of the guards on the entrance.
Abby's head drooped to her throats, the sounds near her became muffled and she was lost in the sea of fears. What will she do? If the metal detector turns red, Abby would be thrown in the cells or killed for trespassing. Abby was shaking anxiously and breathing hard. No word could describe the horror she felt at that moment. She was leading herself straight to death.
