Chapter 39 - Chapter Thirty-Nine

[You busy?]

I was sitting on the ground, the sun was setting and I was waiting for a transport highjack next to a road.

"No, not really, how have you been?"

Dina chuckled, as she came into view in only a towel. Her holographic display paled in comparison to the real deal, but I would not complain.

[Not going to lie, I was expecting a call from you sooner, kinda disappointed."

She murmured, glancing at me while she dried her hair and I chuckled, running a hand through my hair.

"My apologies, I have been a bit busy, in the middle of business right now, actually."

She looked at me, raising an eyebrow curiously and tilting her head, allowing her hair to cascade over her shoulder as she wraps a towel around her locks and started drying.

[You said you were not busy...]

She muttered and I shrugged, I did say that.

"Well, I have time, waiting for something right now and it would be a while until it came along."

She hummed, standing up and walking out of the hologram sensory range, but I could still hear her.

[Can you tell me or is it personal?]

I hummed, leaning back on the foundation of the road, and crossing my legs.

"It's personal."

She knew, of course, she did, she was there when I got the information about what I was doing now, and she could connect the dots.

[I see.]

She walked back into view, this time, as naked as the day she was born and I did what any normal, hot-blooded male would do...

I stared.

She glanced at me and chuckled as she started getting dressed. She stayed silent, putting on a show for me and I did as any good audience did and watched silently.

It only took a few minutes, but I knew for a fact that she could do it a lot faster.

[Enjoy the show?]

I chuckled again, smirking.

"Very much so..."

She smirked at me, sitting down on the bed and humming for a second.

[I called you for something, actually, a question I wanted to ask.]

I raised an eyebrow, cocking my head to the side.

"I'm all ears."

She crossed her legs, resting her elbow on her knee and dropping her head on her palm as if thinking about the same question.

[How would you deal with a thermal long-range disintegration rifle?]

I hummed, my eyes narrowing for a second.

"A bounty, I'm guessing?"

She nodded and my mind started working on possible solutions.

"Attack during sunset, from the direction of the sun, use bright flashing lights, and if you can get close, fight them in a narrow alleyway... or just shoot them dead in a bar."

I shrugged, off the top of my head, that was the best I could come up with.

She looked at me for a few seconds, before rubbing the bridge of her nose.

[I have been thinking about this for an hour and I forgot about the sun... Thanks love...]

I chuckle, shifting my position to sit cross-legged and resting my head on my palm.

"You're welcome."

She sighed again and stood up, stretching and picking up her Holo-projector.

[I have to track this bounty so I going to go into hyperspace, see you later, love.]

She smiled and I nodded. The hologram turned off and I hummed absently and waited... This would usually be the time when the thing would happen...

Welp, no such luck...

I sighed.

"Give me patience..."

___

My hands latched onto the roof of a transport vehicle, and I reached out with the force, opening the door and swinging inside. My legs push a stormtrooper to the opposite wall.

Landing on the ground, I swung my leg, slamming my heel at the side of the blaster that one of the two extended at me from the front, and pulled him forward with the force.

My fingers wrapped around his throat, and his spinal cord was damaged when I applied pressure to it, leaving him either dead or paralyzed for the moment.

I thrust a hand forward, slamming the same trooper that I kicked when I entered the vehicle into the wall again, and turned to the driver, waving two fingers in front of him.

"You didn't see anything unusual."

The force bends to my will, entering his mind, altering his recent memories, and implanting a suggestion.

"... I didn't see anything unusual."

Well, at least I know Zeb is not faking it...

"You will proceed with the assigned task."

The trooper stared for a second before sitting down and grabbing the wheel again.

"... I will proceed with the assigned task."

Neat.

I took out one of my blasters and killed the knocked-out trooper before using the force to levitate the paralyzed one into the seat again and held him there like nothing ever happened.

Grabbing the dead one, I tossed him onto the road and closed the door.

Seven seconds of action and it only took an hour and a half of me waiting at the side of the road, jeez...

I huffed.

The door opened and I extended the blaster again, shooting the fourth trooper that came out from the back. I hummed as I stepped over his corpse and looked around... Supplies, they were bringing supplies... Well, I have nothing but time.

With a mental shrug, I started looking through everything. I knew there would be a vehicle since it was the schedule that a vehicle would deliver something here every week, over the span of the month... turns out this week it was supplies... like toilet paper... plastic spoons... forks too...

I sighed.

"Fuck you, this spoon is mine now."

I mutter hatefully and take one plastic spoon, gotta stick it to the empire and all that, You know?

Putting the thing in my pouch, I use the Force to drag the corpse into the compartment and walk back out, closing the door... Now we wait, again.

I sat down and crossed my legs, this would take a while.

___

"This was easier than expected..."

I mutter, holding both of my blasters in my hands as I wait in front of the door. The vehicle was entering the prison and I was already rearing to go. two people, in and out, kill anyone who tried to stop me, easy.

The door opened, and I pulled the trigger, a body dropped and I followed, dashing out and shooting two more bolts.

Two more bodies hit the ground as I passed them.

Running into the hallway, I mentally went over the layout, I was either in the left wing or the right wing, either way, I needed to pass through both, to grab both so I would go through both wings anyway.

I reached into the force, using it to feel if there was anyone in my path as I ran.

Hallways turned into a blur as I used the force to open any door that was in my path. Finally reaching the stairs, I used the force to boost me up, barrels of my blasters pressing against two patrolling stormtroopers as I brought them to the ground and sent blaster bolts into their skulls.

The building had four floors and I was on the second one, given this was still used for captives, so I needed to go up.

The Alarm blared, a loud piercing noise that alerted everyone that something was wrong.

Undeterred, I holstered one of my blasters taking out my lightsaber, the red blade coming to life with a press of a button. I needed to change that now that I thought about it.

I hummed, feeling people enter my range and I readied my blade and blaster. Five guards around the corner must be the way to the third floor.

I lowered my body as low as I could without impeding my ability to run at full speed and turned the corner, startling the guards who were a bit of a distance away. They Aimed and I jumped, boosting my body forward with the force, avoiding the blaster bolts that came my way since they were aimed lower and returned fire.

The red bolt pierced through the center of the helmet of one stormtrooper and into the eye of the one behind him. My lightsaber hummed as it sliced through the torso of one stormtrooper and I rolled on the ground, the two parts of a body hitting the ground, I stood up, spinning on my heels as I decapitated the second one and leveled the barrel of the blaster at the third, pulling the trigger and continuing my run, leaving five dead bodies behind.

Finally, after a few seconds of running, I reached the required door, feeling the three stormtroopers waiting behind it and two more up the stairs.

Slicing up with my lightsaber, I disconnect the metal door and blast it inside and into the three stormtroopers on the other side with the force, disorienting them.

Moved the door to block the blaster fire from up the stairs and slice across the three troopers. Turning to the door that was blocking the fire, I aim my blaster and shoot twice, burning through the metal door and killing the two troopers.

Running up the stairs, I opened the door again, normally this time, and turned left, heading to the correct room where I could do what I needed to do before going to get what I came here for.

Ten people died, their numbers were running low, civilian prisons were not given much manpower, and there were about forty more guards in the prison, now granted, forty was a good number to put up against a single man, but being real, they would either have to calm the riot down, or focus on me and let the others escape.

As I reached the door that I wanted to reach, I felt two people inside, one right behind the door, I was about to aim and shoot him through the metal barrier between us when it opened.

My eyes widened momentarily before I tilted my body to the side, throwing off my balance as my whole body fell to my right, away from the bolt that barreled into the wall behind me, missing me by a mere inch.

I pivoted on my right heel, slamming my left foot on the ground after I did a one-eighty and continued to spin. My lightsaber sliced into the metal wall, coming out the other side as I slashed to my left.

There was a scream from the other side and I released a breath... that was close... If I reacted any slower...

Breathing in a breath I used the force to blast the screaming man into the other as I entered the room and saw that I managed to slice the underside of his hand. Without thinking much about it, I shot the two and went over to the control panels.

Entering the databases I found the two I was looking for and Deleted Forty-nine others both up and down, Just like that a hundred people lost their data in this prison, including the two I was going to make sure escaped.

I turned back around and headed out of the room, my lightsaber and blaster back in my hand.

My next destination was back to the second floor where Ephraim was being kept, the second floor was where the males were kept and the first was the females.

I would get Ephraim first since he was the more reasonable of the two from what I remember, and then I would get Mira since she was more likely to trust her husband than a random stranger with a lightsaber and a blaster.

Either way, I needed to make it quick.
