For the past few days were trying, to say the least.
I felt uneasy as I continued my new daily life on the Ghost.
I didn't know what it was, but I knew something was coming. And the worst part of it all was that I wasn't ready for it. The force was warning me and by the feel of it, I knew that it would not be pleasant, to say the least.
I walk down the hall to the main room as the feeling kept bugging me to no end.
Scowling slightly, I put a hand on my blaster for a moment. The door opened automatically. Inside, I spotted everyone looking at the hologram of two stormtroopers escorting a green-skinned woman.
"Who's she?"
I asked, getting their attention, but most of them went back to looking at the hologram as it went back to live imperial news.
"That is Master Luminara, I thought she died but the empire is keeping her in one of the most secure prisons. There were always rumors that she survived but there was never a specific location..."
Kanan murmured putting a finger on his chin.
"Should we go?"
Hera asked coming up next to Kanan. I hummed in thought, never entered prison before, should be... Entertaining.
"Definitely."
Hera smiled and nodded, going towards the pilot room as I dubbed it.
"The rest of you, prepare for an op. This isn't going to be easy."
I turned around the way I came from and headed toward my room. Opening the doors, I walked inside and grabbed my helmet staring at the skull that was painted on top of it for a second.
As I turned around to leave, I felt the force pulse faintly in the room and I looked back again, raising an eyebrow at the lightsaber hilt that I built not long ago.
Debating momentarily, I raised my hand and the hilt flew in my hand.
"You ready?"
I glanced back toward Sabine. I was trying to keep the surprise from my face. The force didn't warn me that she was approaching. Hopefully, she didn't see anything.
"Yeah, let's go."
I nodded, following her as she turned around and headed for the control room. Following her into the room, I sat down in the seat right behind her as that was the only seat available since Zeb didn't fit in one.
"Going into Hyperspace."
As soon as those words left Hera's mouth, the ship accelerated and the surroundings outside turned into a blue tunnel. Honestly, I found it weird, but that was the best way to describe it.
Chopper strolled up, grumbling.
[Chopper, pull up a projection, chopper fix that, chopper bring me toilet paper.]
I stared at him blankly as he, despite his grumbling, he put up the hologram anyway as everyone turned towards it.
I busied myself with observing the tower while paying half a mind to the conversation as Sabine started talking.
Impregnable huh?
Blast-proof, ray-shielded, Anti-ship weapons, TIE fighters, and short/long range scanners...
Eh, should be easy enough.
I considered the top main platform, but it wasn't an option since it also had the main entrance, which would undoubtedly have more military presence...
I potted a small platform at the lower level, it was practically tiny compared to the main one.
I reached out and pressed the hologram, a red dot appearing where I touched it.
"Here, it's too small for a large number of troopers to remain, probably two or three, but judging by how the empire likes symmetry, it's most likely two for each side of the door-Could you stop spinning it?"
I sent an unimpressed look at Chopper who grumbled and did as told.
"If we manage to take down the guards, which we can, all we would need to do is clear out a path, well, not exactly clear out, to the upper levels. Disable any elevators, and take the stairs. If there are no stairs, then I can stay at the bottom to take care of anyone that wants to wait at the bottom for you."
I pointed out simply, moving away slightly to let them look over the red line for a few seconds before Kanan nodded.
"Yes, that's a good idea as any I could come up with-"
"Please don't lump me in with you in the plans department."
I retorted, getting a snicker out of everyone in the room. Seriously, Kanan's plans always went astray, and he would change them in the middle of the op for us to somehow make it out alive.
Kanan just sighed, resigned.
"Anyway, We need a plan B and C... Maybe even D."
I mentioned the important part: Back up plans. Hera nodded, pleased. Kanan sighed again, Zeb leaned back with a groan and Sabine just snorted.
Well, at least Hera liked backup plans! She was clearly the reasonable one here!
___
Okay, they didn't listen to my plans. Well, Hera did so she knew what to do in case something unexpected happened. A giant explosion would be the signal.
I fiddled with my armor, making sure that everything was secure before putting on my helmet. Giving one last check on my grenades, I turned around as the door of the Phantom, the smaller ship that usually connected to Ghost opened.
I glanced at Zeb who was looking at a grenade Sabine made, calling it a "Miracle". Well, that was one way of putting it.
Though, the cold feeling was no longer there, leaving me worry-free to focus on the mission.
I looked down at the two guards that were just standing there on the platform. Looks like the jammers were working, since the alarms were not going off yet... Either the empire's whole equipment sucked... or this was a setup.
I narrowed my eyes for a moment. The impregnable prison, shouldn't be this easy to hide from.
