The old monk's voice echoed across the arena, commanding attention from all who stood witness. "It will be a formidable challenge for Ignis to face you at your full strength," he intoned, his words carrying the weight of centuries of wisdom. With a solemn gesture, he raised his hand, and wisps of energy began to flow from the Headmaster, drawn towards the old monk like moths to a flame.
"I have tempered your powers, Honorable Headmaster Cliff," the old monk declared, his voice resonating with ancient authority. "At quarter their usual strength, you remain a force to be reckoned with, capable of overcoming any obstacle, including young Ignis."
His gaze then shifted to the young student, his eyes piercing through the chaos of the arena. "Ignis," he said, his tone expectant yet tinged with a hint of warning. "You bear a heavy burden, one that requires strength and resilience. Do not falter now."
With a nod of understanding, Ignis squared his shoulders, determination etched into every line of his face. "I won't let you down,"
"3...2....1... start the fight"
**BOOM**
Ignis surged forward like a force of nature unleashed, The Headmaster, anticipating the attack, raised his wand in defense, a barrier of crackling energy forming around him.
But Ignis was undeterred, he broke the barrier, his knee connecting with the wand with a resounding impact. The Headmaster recoiled from the force of the blow, his defenses momentarily faltering as Ignis pressed on.
In a swift motion, the Headmaster retaliated, his wand arcing through the air with lethal precision. Ignis barely had time to react as the magical energy surged toward him, sending him hurtling across the battlefield with bone-jarring force.
As Ignis crashed to the ground, the impact reverberated through his body, sending waves of pain coursing through him. Gritting his teeth against the pain, he forced himself to his feet.
" Let me use the art of Ryu, that your father discovered", The Headmaster's voice echoed across the arena, his arms outstretched in a gesture of command. With a fluid motion, his wand vanished from his grasp, replaced by an aura of crimson energy that enveloped him like a shroud.
As the red aura swirled around him, Cliff's (headmaster) presence seemed to shift, his form becoming ethereal and otherworldly. His eyes glowed with an intense crimson light, reflecting the raw power surging within him.
"I have transcended the need for incantations," the Headmaster proclaimed, his voice resonating with unearthly strength. "Just as you have, Ignis. Now, let us test our true power."
The air crackled with energy as the Headmaster's command echoed through the arena. With a wave of his hand, the earth beneath them trembled, giving birth to colossal boulders that rose from the ground like ancient giants awakened from slumber.
Ignis watched in awe as the massive stones transformed into razor-sharp triangles, glinting menacingly in the dim light of the arena. Before he could react, the projectiles hurtled toward him with incredible speed and precision, closing the distance between them in the blink of an eye.
*THUMP* *THUMP*THUMP *THUMP*
Ignis's grin widened as he deftly dodged the sharp triangles, that fell on him.
"Let me show him that the art my father discovered is as useless as him,"
In the blink of an eye, Ignis vanished from sight, leaving Cliff bewildered as he scanned the battlefield. A sudden chill ran down Cliff's spine, his instincts warning him of impending danger. Before he could react, Ignis materialized behind him, his hand transformed into a gleaming metal claw.
**BOOM**
With a swift and decisive motion, Ignis unleashed a devastating punch, driving Cliff into the ground with bone-shattering force. The impact was so powerful that it created a deep crater in the earth, a testament to the sheer strength of Ignis's attack.
Cliff struggled to regain his composure within the confines of the deep crater, his senses reeling from the force of Ignis's earlier blow. As he attempted to stand, his eyes widened in alarm at the sight of Ignis hovering above, a sinister smile playing across his lips.
A brilliant blue aura emanated from Ignis's eyes, casting an eerie glow in the dim light of the battlefield. With a menacing air, Ignis raised his hand, conjuring a massive boulder wreathed in thorns, its surface crackling with raw magical energy.
"I've delved into countless tomes of magic," Ignis declared, his voice resonating with an air of undeniable confidence. "And now, I shall demonstrate the folly of challenging a god."
With a swift and powerful motion, Ignis brought the theory-laden boulder hurtling down towards the crater where Cliff lay defenseless. The impact was deafening, sending shockwaves rippling through the earth as the boulder collided with the ground, unleashing a devastating explosion of magical energy.
As Ivy's jubilant cry echoed across the battlefield,
"YOU WON IGNIS YOU W...", her joy was abruptly cut short as her gaze fell upon the towering figure of Headmaster Cliff standing ominously behind Ignis.
Headmaster Cliff's appearance was a stark testament to the ferocity of the battle, his once pristine attire now torn and tattered, blood seeping from numerous wounds. His long, unkempt purple hair obscured one eye, leaving only a single piercing gaze of bloodlust to pierce through the chaos.
Without a moment's hesitation, Headmaster Cliff lunged forward with an explosive burst of power, his fist connecting with Ignis's jaw with bone-crushing force. The impact sent Ignis hurtling towards the ground, his body crashing with a resounding thud, the force of the blow threatening to render him unconscious.
As Ignis crashed to the ground, he swiftly rolled onto his hand, his body coiled like a spring ready to unleash its power. In an instant, his veins began to shimmer with a vibrant sapphire hue, an otherworldly energy surging through his limbs.
With a sudden burst of speed, Ignis launched himself towards Headmaster Cliff with the velocity of a thunderbolt. Despite Cliff's attempt to halt the onslaught, Ignis evaded his grasp, delivering a flurry of swift and devastating kicks to Cliff's face. Each impact left behind a trail of azure marks, a harbinger of the explosive force about to be unleashed.
As Ignis retreated, the blue marks on Cliff's visage ignited with a series of deafening detonations, each explosion tearing through the air with destructive force. With each detonation, Cliff's once-imposing form was engulfed in a maelstrom of chaos, his bones shattered and his features marred beyond recognition.
The onlookers recoiled in horror as the handsome countenance of Headmaster Cliff was transformed into a grotesque tableau of devastation, half of his face obliterated by the relentless barrage of explosions. Amidst the chaos, Ivy's scream pierced the air, her heart-wrenching at the sight of the once-respected Headmaster now reduced to a broken and battered shell of his former self.
As Cliff's broken form plummeted towards the ground, a sense of relief washed over the spectators, believing Ignis to have emerged victorious. But their momentary respite was shattered as Cliff's eyes emitted a piercing orange light, accompanied by a guttural, demonic scream that reverberated through the air.
**SCREACHHH**
With a shockwave that rattled the very foundations of the arena, Cliff's body convulsed and contorted, his form twisting into a nightmarish semblance of demonic power. Horns sprouted from his skull, his flesh darkening and shifting into an otherworldly visage that struck fear into the hearts of all who beheld it.
The students gasped in horror, their breath caught in their throats as they witnessed the transformation unfold before their eyes. The Old Monk, his voice steady and reassuring, sought to calm their fears with wisdom born of age and experience.
"Do not fear, my children," he intoned, his voice carrying over the tumultuous scene. "What you witness is but a contract with an Eregereyons, beings of immense power and ancient lineage. Those who form contracts with them gain extraordinary abilities but at a price."
The sound of demonic laughter echoed through the arena as Cliff's transformation neared completion, the very air crackling with dark energy. The Old Monk continued his explanation, his words a beacon of knowledge amid chaos.
"People make contracts with Eregereyons for various reasons, be it for power, protection, or other desires," he elucidated. "But such contracts come with a price, you have to offer them something in return and those who wield this power must tread carefully, if you can't pay the price the Eregereyon will consume you, making you its slave."
As Cliff's transformation reached its zenith, the arena quaked with the weight of his newfound power.
"You're cosplaying in the middle of a fucking fight?" Ignis jeered, his laughter ringing out amidst the chaos of battle. Gripping Cliff's horns with a mixture of amusement and disdain, Ignis taunted his adversary as he began to pull with all his might.
Cliff, enraged by Ignis's mockery, lashed out with his arms in a desperate attempt to dislodge his opponent. Ignis's veins glowed with a brilliant azure light as he continued his assault, his determination unyielding.
"Not so soon," Ignis chuckled darkly, his grip tightening on Cliff's horns until they were torn from his skull with a sickening crunch. Cliff's agonized screams filled the air, a symphony of pain that echoed through the arena.
Undeterred by Cliff's suffering, Ignis leaped onto his back and seized hold of his wings, tearing at them with unrestrained glee. The students, who had once feared the power of Cliff's contract, now found themselves laughing at his plight.
"Looks like the contract nerfs your power," one student quipped, his voice tinged with amusement. "He's getting beat up so easily," another chimed in, joining in the chorus of laughter that filled the arena.
Meanwhile, the Old Monk observed the spectacle with a mixture of surprise and intrigue. Ignis's actions hinted at a deeper understanding of the contract's weaknesses, a knowledge that belied his youthful appearance.
"Ignis once read about the contract in a book," the Old Monk mused to himself, his brow furrowing in thought. "I think he knows the weakness of a wyvern contract. They can't do anything if you're too close. Ignis sure have grown so much, even his hair turned white as well... wait his hair are fucking turning white. WHAT The fuck in the Heavenly Magical Realms."
As Cliff crashed to the ground, Ignis gracefully touched down beside him, the victorious aura surrounding him.
A wave of cheers erupted from the spectators, echoing through the arena. "He took down the Headmaster!" a few girls exclaimed, their admiration evident in their voices.
"I never realized how cool he is."
"Oh Ignatius, you're amazing!"
Ignis couldn't help but smirk at the sudden change in attitude. "Funny how they used to ignore me, and now they're cheering me on, they all are nothing but whores asking for attention." he mused silently to himself, his eyes scanning the crowd until they met Ivy's, she was smiling at him, she gave him a thumbs up and looked away.
"Ho-ho, you've defeated the Headmaster, quite the feat," the old monk chuckled, his tone filled with admiration. "I'll make sure to have a word with him, let him know there's no grudge held against you. Now, I must be off. There's an important matter I need to discuss with the Headmaster." With a nod of farewell, the old monk turned and departed, leaving Ignis to bask in the aftermath of his victory.
As Ignis turned, he found himself met with a sea of curious gazes.
"Can we be friends?"
"You looked so cool, Ignatius."
"Um, please call me Ignis."
"Why are your hairs white?"
"Do you have a girlfriend?"
"Can you join me for lunch?"
"Do you like it pink?"
"Ayo!"
Questions rained down on Ignis, overwhelming him. Unable to answer them all, Ignis disappeared from the scene, leaving behind a buzz of excitement and speculation among his peers.
The day passed swiftly, with new classes bringing fresh knowledge to Ignis's mind. He found himself in a new situation, where everyone seemed eager for his attention.
Despite the attention, Ignis tried to remain grounded. Upon returning to his dorm room, he noticed a few letter in his mailbox. Gathering them, he entered the room to find Ivy engrossed in her books.
"Hello," Ignis greeted, settling onto his bed and placing the letters beside him. Turning to Ivy, he was about to speak when she beat him to it.
"You were so cool today. I never knew you were so powerful," Ivy remarked. Ignis blushed, replying, "It was luck. Besides, the Headmaster was nerfed too."
Ivy's expression hardened. "So what? He had years of experience, unlike you. And you fought him without any restraint. Still, you defeated... no, you violated him. Don't you dare say that in front of me? Understood?"
Quickly, Ignis nodded. "Understood, Your Highness."
Curious, Ivy asked, "What are those letters?"
"They were here when I returned. Could you help me read them all?" Ignis inquired.
With a touch of sarcasm, Ivy replied, "Oh, what could the supercool famous guy of the school need my help for? OMG, I might just die."
Rolling his eyes, Ignis retorted, "Come on, I'll read them on my own if you don't want to help."
"Fine, I'll help you," Ivy relented, unable to resist Ignis's charm.
"Dear Ignis, Im your dear lov.." Ivy tore it," Those girls want your attention nothing else. Do not fall for the trap.
As they opened various letters, they discovered most of them were love letters, much to Ivy's jealousy. She tore them apart, one by one, until they reached the last letter. Ignis, being the one to open it, found Ivy leaning over his shoulder, trying to read it too. Their proximity made Ignis blush, struggling to focus on the contents of the letter. It read:
"Dear Ignis,
I am the Old Monk. I apologize for not being able to speak to you personally during my recent visit. The reason behind my sudden appearance before Headmaster Cliff was to share a significant revelation with him. We have finally uncovered the origin of humans in the Scalia world. Unlike the other demi-humans, we are not native to this realm. Our ancestors hailed from a planet called Earth, and the connection between our worlds was sealed off for some mysterious reason.
I will delve into the details at another time. For now, I implore you to excel in your academy exams and strive to become the number one student. We are on the brink of breaking the seal and reuniting our worlds. Only a select few from the Tribunal and other powerful organizations will be part of this examination. Additionally, we will be inviting the top student from each prestigious academy.
I have great expectations from you, Ignis, as I intend to bring you along on this monumental journey.
With love,
Your not-so-real grandfather, Som Tin Wong (The Old Monk)"
As Ignis finished reading the letter, his excitement surged, and he couldn't contain himself. He hugged Ivy tightly, overwhelmed by the prospect of embarking on such a monumental journey. Ivy, taken aback by the sudden embrace, blushed but didn't protest. Ignis expressed his enthusiasm, envisioning the historic endeavor they were about to undertake.
"We are going to make history," Ignis exclaimed. "We are going to find our origin, our native world. It's so exciting, Ivy. So exhilarating!"
Ivy, sharing in Ignis's excitement, responded with equal fervor. "I'm thrilled too, Ignis! Yayyy!"
However, she couldn't help but add a playful remark. "Ignis, I don't mind the hug, but I need to breathe, you know? And you'll have to convince my father before you start doing these kinds of things."
Ignis, caught off guard by Ivy's comment, blushed furiously. "Ayo, I don't mind the marriage part, nor the taking your breath" he stammered, trying to compose himself. "But you're definitely coming with me to Earth."
