Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

"Andy! Wake up lazy girl…" shouted my mom from downstairs

"Coming" I groaned lazily as I pulled up my sheets covering my face and drifted back to sleep.

It's only a matter of time before my mom gets upstairs kicking me off my bed but even those 5 minutes of my sleep is precious. I am a student. And I supposed to be enjoying my summer break, but that never happens if you are at home.

"Get up!" My mom yelled almost ripping off my ears.

"Yeah.." I sat on my bed still closing my eyes

"Andrea Wilson!" She knocked on my head making me completely awake "You better get your lazy ass down in ten or you are getting no breakfast" she spoke fiercely and stepped out of my room

"That seriously hurts.." I whimpered rubbing my head. "She's just too cruel sometimes… don't she think I must be enjoying my summer break?" I sighed and got off my bed drawing the curtains away, revealing the sun, which was gleaming just like him. "Elio…" I whispered softly as my lips curled and up without me knowing, I was already smiling.

Elio, Elio Carlson is my childhood best friend. He was the only one, the sunshine in my darkest times and my cure for everything, as well, my first love. I don't know when that particular thing happened, but it did. Those pair of radiating warm eyes was something I could never forget even if I've never seen them for years.

"Andy!" My mom called disrupting my thoughts. That probably is a warning that I have to be downstairs ASAP. "Yeah mom.." I sighed and got downstairs after brushing my teeth.

"Good Morning sweetheart " greeted my dad browsing through the pages of the daily paper.

"Good morning " I greeted and kissed his cheeks. "What's for the breakfast, mom?" I asked turning towards the kitchen.

"Banana pancakes and chocolate smoothie" she sighed as she removed her apron in a hurry looking at the wall clock. "Everything is on the dining table, help yourself, will you." She spoke grabbing her handbag from the couch and came to me and kissed my forehead "bye Nick" she said to my dad and rushed off hurriedly.

"Late again" I sighed thinking about Mr.Tim and Miss Grace who would be waiting for their clumsy chef to show up so that they could open up the restaurant. My mom is the most famous desert chef in this whole city. Well I'm so happy that I get to eat delicious deserts all the time.

"Dad…" I called him as I sat on one of the chairs "time for breakfast " I called him and he put his paper aside joining me.

"Today it's your turn doing the dishes, dad" I snickered as I put all of them in the sink.

"Very well, my daughter, as I remember I just washed them yesterday, didn't I?" He asked looking at me doubtfully

"Um.. well, dad," I stuttered. 'It's so damn hard to fool dad, damn!' I thought. "Well, it's just that I've got my nails done yesterday so… please dad, will you?" I asked him giving my cutest eyes.

"All right" he rolled his eyes "I'll do that" he sighed in defeat. 'Yes!' "But," he added "throw the garbage outside, will you. Guess your nails would not be after by throwing the garbage out, am I right?" He snickered holding a large bag in his hand.

'Damn! I can't cook up another excuse, can I?' "All right " I groaned as I snatched that garbage bag he was holding and went out stomping.

"Ugh! I hate it, tch!" I clicked my tongue.

"Do you really hate throwing the garbage that much?"

"Yup! Not only that, I actually hate doing anything…" I sighed

"Years that I'm gone for now but you're still the same"

"Huh?" I turned back and found a familiarly strange man in front of me. "Who are you?" I asked in surprise.

"Um, let me think, a ghost..?" He said moving his face closer to mine, grinning ear to ear.

'His eyes' I thought as I looked straight into his clear ocean blue eyes. That made my heart flutter for a second. As I came back to my senses, I pushed his face away from mine "You- what the hell are you trying to do?" I asked.

"Well, I'm trying to get you a clear look of my handsome face" he smirked. "Aren't I handsome?" He asked me.

"Psh.. handsome?" I scoffed. "You should be greatful that I didn't barf over your face" I replied.

"Really" he again leaned over to mine keeping his face only a few inches away. I was dumbstruck and my heart wouldn't stop beating, so hard that I could hear it. And my cheeks were burning hot. I could clearly say that I was blushing.

He smirked looking at my reaction and stood straight up. "But your reaction tells me something else, Miss Willy" he chuckled.

"You-" I was about to yell when I just realised that he called me Willy. That name seriously rings a bell. It was my nickname. A nickname which only Elio used to call me by. I looked at him in disbelief. "E-Elio?" I called.

"Took you long enough" he said smiling.

"Elio?" I questioned surprised. I just couldn't believe it. It has been ten years, since I heard of him, since the day he moved out without saying a goodbye.

"Hey!" He waved in front of my face. "Surprised?" He asked laughing
