Later that day, after Noah had awoken from his nightmare and destroyed his room, the Ancient One sent one of the masters to inform him of a meeting. The master relayed the message.
The master walked all the way to Noah's residence just to find him in the yard, shirtless, smoking, covered in blood and in the middle of butchering a large wild yak he had hunted when he was training outside.
The Shock master relayed The Ancient One's message while looking between the huge yak and the shirtless Noah.
Upon hearing what the master said, Noah replied that he would be there in an hour and continued butchering the yak in front of him.
The master was mesmerized by the smooth and precise movements of Noah and how he was processing every part of the yak with lightings like speed.
Noah put down his cigarette and turned toward the master, saying to him while moving his hand in a shooing manner.
"What? Is it your first time seeing this kind of thing or what? Get your ass out of here and stop staring at me before I throw you off the mountain." Noah threatened the master in a grumpy tone.
Hearing that, the master bowed down in panic and hurriedly left the yard before Noah could really do that to him.
After an hour, Noah arrived at the entrance of the Ancient One's study, just out of the shower and dressed in a traditional white snow-colored Master Rank attire. He raised his hand to knock, but before he could, the Ancient One's voice boomed from inside the room, inviting him in.
"Come in, Master Noah," she said, her voice resonating with a mystical quality.
Noah opened the door and walked in, muttering to himself, "Not impressed, I can do that too!"
He found the Ancient One sitting on a tatami floor, cross-legged, reading, with a cup of tea in her hand. She gestured for him to take a seat across from her, and he obliged.
As he sat down, he poured himself a cup of tea, and the two of them sat in silence, sipping on their tea for an hour.
Noah could hear the sounds of birds from outside the window and feel the gentle breeze of the wind on his skin.
Yet, he understood that it was all magic created by the Ancient One. There was no way that such weather and the accompanying animals could exist in the Himalayan Mountains.
Noah continued sipping his tea, relishing in the tranquility of the environment.
The Ancient One waved her hand, and the book in front of her disappeared, and she put down her cup.
"Master Noah, I am delighted to see you making an effort to blend in with the others by wearing the same uniform," she commented with a sly twinkle in her eye.
"I had to because you kept on nagging me about it every time you saw me," Noah replied, putting down his cup.
"I wouldn't have nagged you if you didn't go around half-naked," the Ancient One exclaimed.
"Oh really? You know what, how about next time I just go out without--"
They bickered for a while before the Ancient One brought up the real reason for the meeting.
"I didn't ask you to come here today to talk about this. There is something I want to ask of you," she said, suddenly serious.
"Shoot, where are you going to send me this time?" Noah asked, his tail flapping around in anticipation.
"No, you're not going to be the one solving problems today," she replied, waving her palm around.
"It's going to be me," the Ancient One declared.
"You're going to do what now?" Noah asked, looking confused
"Didn't you tell me about your mind being unstable when we first met?" she reminded him.
"Damn women, you calling me crazy now?" he said with a fake betrayed look on his face.
"Stop fooling around and start taking this seriously, you rascal," she said while staring daggers at him.
"Alright, alright, I'll comply. What can I do to help you treat me?" he replied while putting his hand up in a surrendering manner.
"For starters, tell me how do you feel on a day-to-day basis? Do you have any complications with your mind or body when you use your powers? What kind of feelings go through your mind when you are idle?" The Ancient One bombarded him with questions.
Noah closed his eyes for a few moments to think and after some time replied.
"Well, my body has never been better. I feel an unmanageable, unending power like nothing any man felt before. I feel I'm able to fight for a thousand years without breaking a sweat. With a simple attack, I can destroy a planet, and if I let out my aura, uncountably a galaxy will follow suit."
Noah stopped for a moment and opened his white-like moon eyes and then stared at The Ancient One and then continued.
"As for my mind... It feels like it's recovering from a state of delirium."
"Recovering from a state of delirium?" The Ancient One said while raising her eyebrow.
"Back when I used to be imprisoned, it happened that every 500 years or so, I would reach my mental limit and I'll lose my mind and go into a state of frenzy. While I'm in that state, I'll start emitting green neon light mixed with black, and then I'll go on a rampage."
"While I'm in that state, I'll lose all sense of reason, and I'll start using big attacks with the size of the suns and stars. And at some point, I'll get hit by one of my attacks or the after-effects of them."
"Then whatever left of my body will start to repair itself while my mind? Psyche? will go into a deep sleep, and I will see the most realistic dreams."
"They were so realistic it was as if they were some kind of a past life I have lived in. I was a knight in one of them with the power to split mountains and seas with a wave of my sword."
"Other times, I live as a genius alchemist. I discovered the secret to immortality and became one myself, and then using my knowledge that I gathered from my countless researches, I ascended to become the god of alchemy."
"But when I get to the end of each dream, I would be sucked out, and I'll find myself back in my prison good as new, with a mind free of madness and ready to start the cycle all over again."
"For a short amount of time when I first wake up, I feel like I'm submerged underwater and everything is delayed. It takes me a few seconds to realize I scratched a part of my body and such, but out of nowhere, my head clears up, and all I'll think about is to train and escape my prison."
"That's why I said I feel like I'm recovering from a state of delirium. I feel like I'm under the water, and my head is unclear. And the worst part of it, I feel like something is pushing me further and further into the water."
"The only times I felt my head clears up are when I fight someone or feel the thrill of a fight. On those times, my mind is clear until my instincts start to take over, where then I'll have to stop; otherwise, I'll become a Broly!" Noah explained.
"A Broly?" The ancient one asked.
"It means I won't be able to differentiate between friend and foe, and I will start attacking anyone in my sight." Noah explained.
The Ancient One fell silent, deep in thought about what Noah had just told her. After a few minutes, she used the Time Stone to peer into the future.
'What are you doing?' Noah asked the floating one.
'Looking into your future,' the Ancient One replied.
'Wait, wasn't I futureless?' Noah asked, tilting his head slightly.
'When you first appeared in this reality, you didn't have a future. But the longer you stayed here, fate and time began to connect their threads to you. Even so, peering into your future is a difficult thing because whatever fate and time tries to connect to can be broken by your level of existence. So this might take some time,' the Ancient One explained, peering into the future again.
Noah nodded his head in understanding and stopped interrupting her. After twenty-seven minutes, the Ancient One opened her eyes and sat down again. This time her face was a little paler, and one could see that she was tired.
Seeing that, Noah poured some tea into her cup, for which she thanked him, and began to drink slowly. After some time, she put down her cup and said, locking eyes with Noah, 'I have a theory. But to confirm it with 100% certainty, I need you to tell me exactly what happened to you.'"
He stared at the teapot, deep in thought, trying to decide if he should reveal his past to the Ancient One.
<"Are you not seriously thinking of telling this old hag about our history?"> Psyche's words echoed in Noah's mind.
At the same time, he appeared with his back leaning against a nearby wall.
<"Why not? It's not like you, Mr. Freeloader. You're not going to help me with anything, so why wouldn't I take the kind bald lady's offer?"> Noah countered.
"Kind? Did you really just call her kind?" Psyche repeated incredulously.
"For all we know, that hag is going to try to force you to become the next Sorcerer Supreme for her own agenda, and she is just putting up a kind front to trick you right now. Also, I can't fucking do anything to help you! I'm already straining my whole being from holding you back to not go berserk every time you fight!!! And lets not forget That damned notebook is the fastest way to fix ourselves but that damned thing is in the lowest level of our mind, and I can't reach—" Psyche's anger and frustration were palpable.
Suddenly, Noah interrupted Psyche. "What note?" he asked, puzzled.
"I said too much. I'm leaving. Do what the fuck you want. See if I care," Psyche replied before turning around and disappearing from Noah's line of sight.
Seeing him leave like that, Noah's whole face contorted in anger, he began shouting in his mind, "PSYCHE, YOU SON OF A BITCH, COME BACK HERE THIS INSTANT!"
But nothing happened. He kept on shouting over and over until the Ancient One pulled him back to reality.
"Master Noah, you know by asking you to tell me your story, I only sought to help, and by no means did I mean to offend you," she said in a apologized tone thinking she the reason for why Noah face is full of anger.
Noah took a deep breath, gathering his composure, and shook his head. "No, no. It's okay. I just had an unpleasant thought." He took another deep breath, then turned his attention to the window.
"Alright, I'll tell you my story," he said calmly to the ancient one.
He began recounting the events of his life, leaving out his biggest secrets and the world he came from. He talked about how he died the first time, how he ended up imprisoned, and how he lived in the white plane. Despite chunks of his memories being forgotten or taken away by Psyche, it still took him from morning to late evening to tell his story.
The ancient one listened with great focus, occasionally asking questions to better understand his story. After he finished, the whole place fell silent, with only the sound of the wind and crackling tea cups filling the room.
The ancient one closed her eyes and thought deeply for ten minutes before opening them again and grabbing the time stone. She peered into the future one last time before locking eyes with Noah and declaring...
