"Hueaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!" Noah gasped deeply, his eyes fluttering open.
"Where am I? What is this place?" Noah said, his voice filled with confusion and disorientation.
"God damn it. My head feels heavy. Why am I here? What happened to me?" he muttered, trying to make sense of his surroundings.
"I remember a light... Yes, I do recall it now. I was on my way back home when I got chased by one hell of a monstrosity. I had to lure it to a nearby gas station and tried to kill it, but it got my right hand. I had to blow myself up with the damn thing."
"..." Noah fell silent for a moment.
"So, I died, huh?" he whispered, coming to terms with the reality.
"I never thought that out of all the things I could have died from, it would be a walking Hulk of a monster," Noah said, covering his face with his hands.
"I took so many things in my life for granted. I never pursued my chosen major. I never had a pet, a kick-ass car, or even been in a relationship. I never lived long enough to play Elder Scrolls 6, and I never even tasted sushi," he lamented.
"But my greatest regret is..." Noah's voice trailed off.
"I could not apologize to my parents," he whispered, his tone filled with a mix of depression and utter sadness.
"Damn, I feel like shit," he muttered.
A few moments later, Noah broke the silence.
"Well, where am I anyway?" he questioned, looking around, his curiosity piqued.
"I guess I'll need to get going and explore," he said, preparing himself to stand up.
"Whooooooo!! What the hell?" Noah exclaimed in surprise as he stood up.
"Did I get taller?" he wondered aloud, realizing his newfound height. "Holy cow, that doesn't even scratch it. I became a giant! Wait, what's wrong with my hands? Why are they thick? Also, who colored my fingernails black? What the fuck! What happened to me?" Confusion was evident on his face.
"Since when did I have a thick coat of fur? And last I remember, I was not this wide... and my ears," Noah reached up and lightly touched his ears, finding them pointy.
"And what is this thing stuck in my back?" He reached behind and continued, "Is that what I think it is?"
"I have a tail!! What in the seven hells? When did I become a monkey?" he exclaimed, baffled by his transformation.
"Wait a second. A giant ape, pointy ears, thick fur, a long tail, and an overall titanic physique... Why do all these traits sound familiar?"
And then it clicked.
"Holy fuck! I became a Great Ape from the Dragon Ball Z universe! But how did that happen? Was it God?" Noah questioned, scanning his surroundings for any signs of an answer.
"But I see no one around and nothing as far as the eye can see. Wait, I seem to have forgotten a crucial point, but what is it? I have this feeling it is very important."
"Think, think. What is it that I have forgotten?" he pondered, trying to piece together his memories.
"Was it when the monster attacked me? No, no, it couldn't be that. Was it when I blew up the monster? Nay, still not it. So, it must have been after the explosion, but I cannot remember. My head feels foggy."
"Hmmmmmmmmm," Noah crossed his arms, tapping his elbow, deep in thought.
"I remember lights... and people? Yes, people. But who are they?" he questioned himself.
"So, let's think about this logically. After I defeated the monster, I must have been thrown into the monster's near-perfect dimension. So, people must have called for an ambulance. That would explain the people part. But what about the light? Ohhhhhh, they must have brought me close to the ambulance in a stretcher. That explains the light as well. But why do I still feel like I have forgotten something? Wait a second. A stretcher?"
Noah froze in his place as memories of his last moments started flooding back.
-----------------------------------------Flashback Start-----------------------------------------------
On the stretcher, one could see a half-charred body with a single damaged arm all over, miraculously still clinging to life.
'Shallow breathing.'
"Ah, finally, it ends. No more suffering, no more pain," Noah uttered, his voice filled with relief.
"I wish that if there is ever a next life, I would be strong enough to live freely," he expressed, almost as a wish.
"And hey, what do you know? I might be able to become a Saiyan," he joked.
(??????) = "Your wish has been granted," a voice responded, spoken in the language of the gods.
------------------------------------------Flashback Ended-----------------------------------------------
"...................."
Noah stood there, shocked by the revelation, finding it hard to process.
"So... I became like this because of my dying wish?" he muttered, trying to grasp the magnitude of the situation.
"And the person who made me this way is Shenron?" Noah questioned further. "No, that doesn't seem right. He wasn't speaking in Earthling or Namekian; he was speaking..."
"The language of the gods!"
"It was Super Shenron!!" Noah exclaimed, his voice filled with shock.
"But how? To summon Super Shenron, one would need to gather seven Dragon Balls, and each one is the size of a planet!"
"But I see none around here. All I can see is this god-forsaken white void!"
"But there is another point."
"Now that I am thinking about it, something weird," Noah said, examining his transformed body.
"From what I remember lore-wise, the normal adult Great Ape's height ranges from 164ft/50m to 330ft/100m, and their fur color is brown with red crimson eyes. But in my case, my height is twice as much, and my fur is pitch black. I have no idea about my eyes, but I have this distinct feeling they are the color of the moon."
"I have a few theories, but the most likely one is the following: the reason for the drastic change between my Great Ape and the normal Great Ape is solely related to Super Shenron himself and one of his traits."
"Divine energy."
"AKA the Ki of the gods and divine beings."
"In the process of answering my wish, Super Shenron infused the vessel for my soul, aka my body, with godly Ki, enchanting my body and Saiyan genetics to a higher degree."
"If I were to make a bold guess, I'd say my genetic makeup is the same as the first ancient Saiyans, like Yamoshi, the first Super Saiyan God."
"With this divine-infused body, there will be no need for the ritual involving six righteous Saiyans. All I have to do is undergo special divine training shown in the anime, and then I'll be able to reach the Super Saiyan God."
"But there is one question I haven't found an answer to yet."
"Why did Shenron infuse my body with divinity? What is his motive? He could have simply made the body with normal life force, aka normal Ki, and be done with it. Why would the great and powerful divine dragon go through all the trouble and use his own divine power to create this kind of vessel?" Noah pondered, tapping his elbow.
"Furthermore, with the Saiyan physique and being a Great Ape at that, I should be in a state of extreme hunger right now. But surprisingly, I don't feel hunger or thirst. Instead, I feel like... a core."
"Meanwhile, I need to find answers. The first step is to train my Ki control and Ki Sense. Ki control will be helpful in the future when I have to achieve my transformation from the Great Ape to a Saiyan. And I'll also need Ki sensing for navigation in this endless plane. Oh yeah, it will also be useful for sensing if there is life here."
"Now the good thing is I have read everything from manga to anime, etc., so I have an idea of how to train my Ki and Ki attacks. There might be some errors here and there, but everything can be perfected with hard work and time, of which I have plenty," Noah smirked.
"I wonder how long it's going to take me to train. I'm pretty excited, not going to lie."
Noah sat down cross-legged, a determined look on his face.
"Alright then, first training, then finding answers to this clusterfuck of a situation."
