When Leon saw the thunderous reception from those in the Lemmox Sanctuary zone, he checked his interface to see his impact.
To his surprise, it indicated their party had saved hundreds of lives!
Leon closed his interface and found that over half of the women he saved were in the same place he dropped them off.
He originally felt many were loitering, but when another twenty came to greet him after seeing the live stream, he realized something was happening.
"You see that?" Quinn asked while looking at the women staring at them.
"I'm assuming that group of women are people you've saved.
While you're confused about why they're waiting for you, you need to realize that everyone who called your sketchy service was in a horrible place.
They only did it because they had to and expected you to demand their body for compensation.
Do you get it? Regardless of your intentions, we need protection, and you've provided that.
That hasn't changed because everyone will be back in hell in one month. We barely survived this round because of you.
So if we have to offer our bodies, we—"
"Please don't." Leon requested with trembling eyes and ragged breath.
While he intentionally left a message that called to desperate women, he figured they'd feel relieved when he didn't touch them and move on.
It was extremely uncomfortable that they still expected it!
"I didn't mean to set that expectation. I don't want anyone to expect that."
Kira sighed. "Leon, no one wants to give you their body; that's not the point.
We're telling you everyone was ready to because they needed protection. That hasn't changed, so people are still willing to.
We don't need civilization, a plan, or comfort. We need protection from those men ambushing women by force, the monsters we saw from above, and the harsh dangers of the unknown.
So people are hoping you'll ask for their bodies so you'll take them with you. Do you understand?"
Leon finally saw the fear and hope on the women's faces as they gazed at Leon and his party.
"Leon. We're desperate. We got on your sketch lift because we had no choice, and we still have no choice." The redhead continued, regaining his attention.
"That's why I'm certain many would follow you even if you had conditions.
As for me… now that I know you're not evil… I hope you'll take me with you!"
"Me too! Please take us!" Kira pleaded.
"I'd be grateful!" Phan cried.
"I'm not good for much, but I'd be useful however I could be." Rika said with a downtrodden fake.
"I'd join you in a heartbeat." Milly said with a hopeful gaze.
Ding! Ding!
Caitlyn took deep breaths. The angel had a role and was being a good woman and doing as she was told. That's what [she kept telling herself].
By contrast, Lindy's eyes glittered in excitement. She closed!
Not only had she built his brand, but she converted at least five new [haremites] to join their new city.
Leon chuckled and ruffled her hair, making her purr. Then he ignored the pleading women, walked over to Caitlyn, and embraced and kissed her.
Ding! Ding! Ding!
Notifications kept pumping in. The women were a bit annoyed, but they didn't stop him.
After the blonde was adequately sedated, he returned to Quinn.
"If a product isn't necessary yet, then… what do normal people do in this situation?" Leon asked with a straight face,
Quinn's eyes widened in astonishment. Normal? Normal!? How the hell would she know!?
"I'm not sure. But if it were me—wait, are you going to write this down?"
"Well, yeah." Leon replied while holding his notepad and pen, "My memory's great, but my retention of human emotions is remarkably low. So every trick helps."
Quinn, Kira, and the others turned to Lindy with horror in their eyes.
"What? Leon doesn't have emotions for anyone not in his harem." Lindy explained.
"That's horrifying…." Milly said with wide eyes.
"So we're just tools to you, after all?" Kira asked with a deflated expression.
"Correct." Leon confirmed casually, causing everyone to look at him in shock.
"Why are you all so concerned? Human emotions are leading that slaughter over there." Leon said while pointing in the direction they came from, "Besides, you want to use me too, right?"
The five women blushed and averted their gaze.
"Luckily, I also find you useful. That's why I'll protect you and provide you comfort.
Since that's more than you're actively asking for, can you please tell me what I should do? " Leon sighed.
"Things are getting awkward."
Quinn panicked. "Sorry, I… ummm… normal people might give a speech?"
"I see…." Leon said in thought.
When he turned around, the redhead breathed a sigh of relief. However, she quickly held her breath again. She was praying she didn't give him bad advice!
Leon scanned the women survivors.
"Ummm… hello." He announced awkwardly.
Almost fifty women he transported stared at him with blank, nervous expressions.
Ding! Ding!
Leon closed his eyes in annoyance when the gods sent him books titled [Picking Up Desperate Women for Beginners] and [Make the Most of Trauma].

To all candidates of the God's Trial,
We would like to publicly apologize for the implicative gifts provided by the God of Creep and God of Twisted Pleasure.
Gods represent every aspect of the humanoid kind, good and evil. Thus their inclusion as gods is necessary and does not represent the beliefs of the God's Commission, God Trial Planning Committee, or Gambling Association.
We know it's a trying time. For that reason, we are now providing free counseling services in the Sanctuary.
Thank you for your understanding,
The God's Commission.

The statement irked Leon, but his response was a fraction of what the others felt!
The nervous women began saying hello as if their life depended on it.
The notification confirmed the gods were insane, human men were Vikings, and the beasts were hungry. Leon's harem was a paradise in comparison!
"Ahem." Leon coughed to clear his throat before reassessing the situation.
The women swallowed nervously in anticipation of his words.
"Ummm. Hi. Hello. I… am Leon Traxler, and I saved you from certain death." Leon said nervously.
The fifty women looked at each other and began clapping slowly and awkwardly.
He closed his eyes and chastised himself for his immediate mistakes.
"I promised you I wouldn't ask anything of you, but… Woah, please let me finish." Leon requested hurriedly as many women looked away with shame or disgust.
Three began stopping away with angry expressions.
"Look, I'm only asking—"
"Yoooooo~hooooo! You three beautiful ladies!" Caitlyn called out to three women.
The three turned around.
"I can see that you're grateful, actively listening, and pleased with your savior." Caitlyn remarked cheerily, confusing the women that were wearing disgusted expressions.
"That's good. Because if you implied my man was a pig, I'd remind you that this temporary haven is temporary."
An icy chill crawled down the women's spine when they saw the blonde flash them a smile. The same was true of the already nervous, now completely horrified women.
Leon groaned inwardly. Things went from bad to worse.
However, he wouldn't get angry at Caitlyn. So far as he was concerned, she was all he needed in life, and everyone except Lindy and Reina could die.
Everyone and everything else was just a bonus.
"Look, I'm not good with people." Leon confessed.
"I can't give you a great speech, provide you with hope, or ignite your hearts with charisma. So I won't; instead, I'll be open with you."
The women were spellbound by his shocking switch in confidence. Now that he was candid, he sounded as bold and arrogant as he was.
"I didn't ask anything of you for the ride, but if you want to join me in building a city consisting of only women and politically strategic males, my members and I will provide you protection."
Mummers of confusion washed over the group.
"My vision is to create a cultured paradise on Earth." Leon continued straight-faced, "The city will thus be called Harem City, and [haremite] will replace the term citizen."
