Rubi's POV
We are in our warehouse waiting for Ax Farrel to come. It is like a garage but it is bigger than a normal garage where you can park five trucks. I am sitting on a chair and there's a table in front of me, it is the only thing that you can see in our warehouse. Mia and I are wearing some masks that you can hardly recognize that it was us.
In a matter of a few minutes, the sound of the garage door is heard. Ax is standing, followed by her secretary, holding a case. I smiled behind my mask, knowing it was the money.
"Nice to meet you, Ax Farrel," I said, starting the conversation. He glanced and nodded at his secretary, his secretary walked towards me and put the case on the table. Opening the case and turning it in for me to see the money. I raised my hand and signaled Mia from the back to check if the money was real. Seeing Ax like this made it look like the Ax that I knew was imaginary. He looks so high-class and serious.
I glanced at Mia who finished checking the money, she closed the case, took it, and nodded at me before returning to my back.
"And? What can I do for you?" I asked curious about why he is allying himself with me.
"I didn't know that Bee is a woman," He said, putting his hand in his right pocket.
"Well now, you know," I said, shrugging my shoulders at him.
"Can you even" *BANG*
Ax couldn't finish what he was about to say when Mia shot at him next to his head, causing his ear a scratch. It was a warning not to insult me. They looked at us like they wanted to ask if we are crazy. I smirked behind my mask.
"If you want to know if I can help you, of course, I can. No one in this city can help besides me. Don't worry, I'm not stupid enough to get betrayed and got my assets stolen" I said mockingly trying not to laugh at him.
He composed himself and his serious face is back. I rested my arm on the table, tapping the table with my finger.
"Let's start over shall we" Seeing that Ax has no words to say, I offered him to start over.
"What do you want from me?" I asked him, and this time, I talked more seriously causing him to gulp. He realized that he is the one who is asking for an alliance but he tried to mock me because I am a woman.
"I want to bring Kaiser down and take all of his assets until he has nothing," He said, gritting his teeth.
"Is that it? That is easy" I said, full of confidence.
"I just don't want to bring him down, I want him to be exposed, I want him to be destroyed completely," He said, emphasizing the word completely.
One of my men ran towards Mia to whisper something and then Mia whispered it to me informing me that this meeting is exposed.
"It seems that your cousin knew about this meeting," I said, trying to sound calm. I'm not blaming Ax for his carelessness, I am blaming myself for not even thinking that there's a chance that Ax would be followed. Of course, his cousin will watch his every move. Ax's eyes grew big, took out his gun behind him, and looked around the warehouse to look for a shooter.
*BANG* *BANG* *BANG*
"Let's move. Follow me" I ordered Ax, he was confused at first but still nodded at me. Three shots are a signal for us that they are getting near us or it is from the enemy. Gambling with my decision, I showed them the back. Pulling out my gun while Mia is checking the way before signaling us to move.
We made it outside without being discovered, the gunshots in the front side of the garage being heard in our location. When did I become so careless? I should be accepting more offers from now on seeing that my skills are getting rusty in the shop.
"Take the secretary and head towards our safe house. We'll meet you there" I ordered and she just nodded. She glanced at the secretary and gave a signal to follow her.
"Let's go," I said to Ax.
"We are going to look for a car," I said. This garage where our warehouse is located is full of cars that are thrown away. I hid some cars here that work so I can use them for these kinds of emergencies.
We ran and hid behind a car. "Check if the car has a B sticker on it," I said and he immediately stood to look for the sticker on the other side of the car while crouching, I checked the other side and luckily we found a sticker on it.
Ax opened the door quickly and started the engine. The car is stuck here for a long time being hardly used so you must heat the engine first for it to run smoothly. Ax turned the car and stopped it in front of me, as I was about to ride the car, someone shot at me, I managed to dodge at the last minute but my mask was hit, and fell to the ground. I abandoned the mask and quickly rode the car. Ax drove the car at full speed for us to run away faster and widen the gap as soon as possible. Ax looked at me and was shocked, he glanced at me and went to the door back and forth.
"Can you focus on the road!" I said, rolling my eyes at him, annoyed at his reaction.
"W-why are you here?" He asked, still glancing at me and to the road back and forth. "I'll explain everything later! Just drive!" I shouted at him.
"Okay, okay! Fine, you better tell me everything later!" He said, demanding some answers. I facepalmed at the thought that he will not stop until I tell him everything.
"After getting past that tower, turn right and park near a fire hydrant!" I instructed. He followed my instructions and parked the car. I went out in the car and opened the second car on the streets. It's another car of mine, and it's for emergencies again. I successfully unlocked the car and looked around to check if someone was spying on us. I saw the road was clean and glanced back at Ax in the other car, signaling to him that it was okay to come now. I rode in the driver's seat and when Ax rode and sat beside me. I drove away and headed straight towards the safe house.
"Open that and look for my two-way radios," I said to Ax, glancing at him and back to the road. He gave me the talkie and I switched it on, using one hand while driving. Until I heard someone calling me.
"Your status B!" One of my men said I can still hear the exchanged gunshots.
"You may retreat. We got out safely. To the safe house, be sure not to be followed!" I ordered and threw my talkie in the back seat.
"Why do they call you B?" Ax asked, can't help himself to be curious. I rolled my eyes at him and then glanced at him, frowning.
"Tsk"
I sighed and shook my head at how different he acted earlier and now that he knows my identity. Why am I so careless? It's not like me to make two in a row, on the same day too. I glanced at Ax who was resting his head on his hands, looking out of the window, deep in thought.
"I promise that I will tell you everything when we arrive at our safe house," I said, calmly. Ax glanced at me with a surprised look when he saw that I was serious. He looked back at the window, smiling.
