Well we've past on a detour to LittleRock, California.A small little area with signs of a small population.Beautiful place none the less, Bill parks at its entrance of the town as we start to explore.
"Alright meet back here in 20 minutes people and be fast !" Yells Sue as he follows me and Scarlett walking through the streets of the town.
"Aye you two, help me check out this gun shop right there !" Says Sue as he walks past us towards the gun shop.We follow as we have our pistols in hand just In case.We walk in to see the guns still on display and looking behind the counter, Sue finds ammo boxes, filled.Me and Scarlett look around to see more keychains and License plates with names on them.I also see a gramophone in the corner of the room with a Album on it.I walk towards it as Scarlett walks near the hallways of the gun shop, leading to the break room.
"Bruce you ain't gonna believe this shit, either these motherfuckers were non-violent or something but there's enough ammo to kill Kennedy over and over for months."
Says Sue as out of nowhere a man takes Scarlett hostage as he aims his gun at her head.Another appears and aims at Sue as he puts his hands up.
I'm too slow to aim back as now a man yells
"Hands up Cmon cowboy, don't do nothing dumb now !" He says as I put my hands up.The other man walks towards me with Scarlett as a shield as he says "well damn Jones, we got us a big haul, where's you get that gun huh ?" He says as he sees my Makorov pistol, it's just a regular pistol but it had a custom design with a the initials M and S, also with a gold plated covering.
"Hell I'd think I'd like it !" He yells as he tries to reach for it.I back away as he says "Damn boy, you're fast, ain't he fast Jones ?" He ask his friend as Jones searched Sue and says "yea he sure is."
The man walks towards the gramophone as he starts to play the gramophone record.It plays some sort of tune I've never heard of.With this man doing this he's set off a whole chain reaction as he says
"Hand it over, Cmon I don't wanna kill her now …" he says as I think for a second until one of the others from the group enter, it's Bill and he says
"Damn it sue turn that shit off -" he yells as he sees what's happening, The man shoots at the door as Bill ducks as it alerts the others.This gave us a chance as Sue attacks the man who was on him and Scarlett elbows her captive in the gut.She gets away as She pulls out her gun and shoots him in the knee.He limps on the floor as he starts to crawl.I don't know what gets over me but ignore him and attack the man attacking Sue.We drop him as I pull out my pistol and shoot him point blank.By now Scarlett aims at the man crawling away as I walk back and grab him by the back of his jacket, like a dog.I throw him out through doors for the people to see as some have their guns aimed at the door.As that shitty music continues to play, the man lays there like a person looking for sympathy.
"Oh Christ we gotta help him right ?" Ask a person as others start to chatter.I am my gun at his head as Bill stops me, "now hold on now, just explain what happened !" He says as I point to Scarlett who's standing and says
"He had her hostage, aimed guns out our heads and tried to rob us …." I say thoroughly and Bill says
"Alright just petty robbers, no harm done-" he says as I say
"He could've killed us, he nearly blew your head off !" I yell as the one of our own doesn't noticed him getting up.The man rescues for his gun as he screams, it frightens them all around.Sue steps out as in that moment I shoot him, hitting his back.They all look in horror as he's still alive, he begins to slowly crawl away as Sue gets our attention.
"Aye you two, go in there and take the ammo behind the Counters, Bill you alright ?" He ask as our attention is on Sue now.As the man crawls away like a dead animal, he groans from every crawl.
"I'm alright ….but you think we should help him ?" Says Bill as I scream "to hell with that, he threatened us and tried to hurt us, If someone hurts you, you hurt em back…." I say as the man somehow found the strength to get up and run away.He slow but has heart as we seen him,
"Somebody's gotta stop him right ?" Says a woman in the crowd as I step up and aim my gun.I get it just right as he's at least a quarter mile away, I shoot and drop him dead.As it echos through the town.
"Listen Sue, Bill, all of you, you've lived so far on the rule of burying the ones that have sacrificed their lives for y'all and honoring them but you also have to have this rule, If someone bothers us, we fight back, no reason to flea, or reason with them….hell this world has made the real monsters show themselves in this world…:sometimes our enemy isn't those things …..its could be our own …."
I say as they all whisper amongst each other as Sue steps up
"He's right you know, he's always right on these things, he's a bright young man, all of us have to accept that, our only enemy is ourselves sometimes …..so Cmon let's just move on from this and keep scavenging alright, we got 10 minutes left….go ahead !" He says as the crowd disperses.I go to Scarlett and asks
"You okay …?" She takes a breather and says
"Yea….I'm alright…."
We walked back to the bus and waited as the others kept looking.Sue and Bill were outside the bus and started talking to each other as they stared at us, trying not to make it look obvious.We sat as I see Scarlett stares out the window in a full dismay.I just took a minute to think of what to say as she stares back at me.
"You think bob's lives in an apartment or house ?" She asked as I turned perplex,
" I don't know, you think he'll have pets ?" I asked as she said
" I hope so, you know I used to have a pet cat …." She said as I asked
"Really, I didn't know, what's its name ?"
She laughed as she said smilingly
"Anis …." I laughed as well as I she added on
"A-N-I-S, not The other way …"
We started cracking up as she had a little snort, very adorable.We took a moment of laughter as Sue and the rest started to board the bus.
"Alright I guess we're done, Bill let's get going …" he demanded as the people started sitting back down.Many stayed more upfront as only Sue walked up to us in the back of the bus.He sat down aside us and said
"Listen uh I understand your little rant earlier but I just can't have these people living like that yet, I feel you, you make sense it's just some of these people won't have the mentality for that…"
All did is listen and nod as we started driving.
"I just want y'all to know, there's people in this world that are like us, half of these people won't make it far like we will….it's survival of the fittest…"
It felt at shock at hearing Sue as I haven't heard him talk like this before.We started driving casually as I told Sue.
"That's some mighty talk, maybe you'll understand me, no one will die if we don't get these people to know they have to kill …not just those things but people like us …"
I say this as Sue smiles menacingly as replies
"I'm glad we're on the same page … "
He tapped my shoulder as he got up and walked up to the front of the bus.Me and Scarlett sat there confused and a bit worried.Well we didn't tend to feel the burden of taking this little joke of an adventure this far but since killing those bandits, we gotta make it somehow.As Bill drives he sees two men looking injured in the distance.
"Aye Sue get over here !" He yells as Sue quickly rushes to the front, "what's up Buddy?" He asked as he sees the two ahead.
"Should we pick em up ?" Asked Bill as Sue thinks about it and as they got closer.
"Fuck it ….we got space …" he says as Bill stops.The two men approach as Sue says
"Are y'all " The two men enter the bus worryingly as Me I wonder why we stopped, I walked further back to the bus to go for my backpack as I got my pistol ready.I walked back to Scarlett as in the moment it got awful.
"Hey Bill get the first aid kit-" said Sue until the two men fix there composure and take Sue and Bill hostage.One man aimed at a bill as the other who's taken Sue says
"Alright, y'all just be calm now, we ain't hurting nobody, we're just looking for our friends, my names John and this right here is my brother, Tim." He said as I cautiously prepared to shoot but Scarlett kept stopping me.
"Well we had some friends of ours out in Little Rock and they haven't returned to our camp so they sent us to get em, this road is where they went off through and coincidentally you're passing by, So I'm assuming the worst …." He said as one of the people in bus ask
"You have a camp, where ?" As another asked
"Is there more of y'all ?" As another asked
"Do you have someone in charge ?"
John couldn't take all the talk as he yelled
"Alright !, I didn't come here for a Q&A, I just want to know if our friends are at least dead, I'd hope so cause to be honest they were kind of assholes, but to add on to your question ma'am ." He says as he points out the woman who asked
"Do you have someone in charge"
"Well we do have a guy, he's our leader if you suppose, we got about hundreds we us down in Skid Row in Los Angeles, took over the whole place and fortified it…."
He says as many listen at awe, I still feel it awful they have Sue and Bill hostages and these idiots are asking questions.
"Listen pal we can talk better if you just stopped having us in this position ….Let's call it a clean slate if you let go …" says Sue as John Replies
"Sorry Pal, just I know we're sounding nice but we're extremely angry and our guy, I forgot to mention his name, Jimmy Robinson, like you know our old Mayor ….before all this …."
He says as people are more at awe as someone asks
"So does that mean, our society is being restored ? " as another ask
"So what has he planned to stop all this ?" Until John feels more heated and shoots into bus, missing purposely.
"Like I said people, no questions just answers, our beloved mayor doesn't like when his happens, when he does he says "there's consequences that shall be empowered " and I am that punisher, so in case of blood for blood I must kill two of y'all ….." he says as people panic.
Many try to take cover and run towards the back of the bus.As one runs, John aims and shoots him dead.
"There's one …" he says laughingly as they Sue takes this opportunity to Elbow John in the gut.I see this perfect sign as fire, killing John point blank.His friend gets side tracked as Bill kicks him out the bus, making him drop him gun.I get up as people still in chaos, I walk through the bus and make it to the man who's fallen.I walk past Sue and Johns body as bill had rushed out to a scuffle with the unarmed man.
"Step aside Bill …" I say as bills postured over him.Bill gets up and moves aside as I aim and ask
"Tell me more about our Beloved mayor …" I say bluntly as Sue sees this and takes charge insides
"Calm down folks, they've been dealt with, we're fine now ….no threats near us okay, so please just take a breather and calm down …" he says as a person yells
"God we lost one of ours, he's dead back there …" as he points to the body Which is next to Scarlett's seat.
"Yes unfortunate and awful but remember what we've learned, we bury our own, pay respects and move on, Cmon, volunteers ? "
He asks as it gets silent.I'm still outside as the unarmed man on the ground is saying
"Please don't kill me, I'm new to this job, Robinson just wanted us to scout for our guys but John just takes it a bit far …please just don't …" he said as I aim ask
"I didn't ask you to beg, Skid row….hundred of people, how ?" He asks as the man quickly says "hey hey all I know is, Before all this, he got donated by the government, about a dozen tanks, and enough ammunition to invade Cuba …." He says as Bill and Me react in shock.
"So winning in bulk is his game then …" says Bill as I tell the unarmed man,
"Thank you …" I say bluntly as he says
"Oh Christ, I can live-" he says as I shoot.This shook some in the bus as Sue has gotten out with two men carrying our guys body.
"We're gonna bury him ….." says Sue as he Carrie's the shovels with him.They walk a distance as I walk back into the bus.I walk past Johns body, his blood still leaking as I command loudly "someone get his body outta here …!" I walk back to Scarlett as it takes a moment but two other men carrying him out, with no respect.
"You piece of shit …" one said to him as they toss him out of the bus.
As we all got back to our plan, we continued driving in as everyone has a different demeanor.We've all fallen silent in this bus ride as Sue cleans his boots.We've made to Santa Barbara, we passed by a rural neighborhood as we forget the one thing, how the hell will we find Bob ?
"What now Bruce ?" Asked Sue as we parked in the streets.I look around them frustrated as I say
"Uhh I guess we wait for Bob " I say jokingly as we all sit in silence.Bill was about to start the car until he notices some zombies nearby.
"So do I move or what cuz dead's coming ?" He asked as Sue said "just drive …." He says as Bill tries to start the bus but it's budging.
"Bill stop playing now, start the damn bus !" Yelled Sue as the zombies grow into hoards slowly.
"I'm trying god damn !" Yelled Bill ad they all panic.I walked up to them to see what I could do but out of nowhere an armored truck came out of nowhere and drained those zombies dead.The street got cleared as the stopped.We we're at a stalemate as I can't tell if there enemies and they can't either.I am getting my pistol ready as I tell the rest
"Y'all gotta protect yourselves come on !" I yell as Sue says
"No hold on now, if they wanted they could've destroyed us too …." He says as the people in the bus get a gun.I give a death stare and am ready to lose my life today but out of no where.They've lowered their window and raised out a white flag.I am in confusion as Sue smilingly says
"Everyone were alright, you don't gotta fight now, lower the weapons, alright …"
