"Merlin, tell me the truth. Did you kill our parents with your own hands on that day?" Tia asked Merlin. Even though she knows the truth, she still wants to hear from Merlin herself.
"They were begging me not to kill you. In the end, they only thought of you," Merlin said with a serious look on her face.
"You can build your clan. Why did it have to be ours?" Tia said, hoping for her sister to see the light, but Merlin just frowned at her.
"Don't be ridiculous, and our clan has the blessing of the moon goddess! Do you think if I build my own, the goddess will give her blessing?!" Merlin explained, shouting at her sister and clenching her teeth.
"Why are you so desperate? For using forbidden spells, look at yourself!" Tia said, trying to open her eyes to Merlin and making her understand that forbidden spells would only cause her harm.
"Did you think I didn't know? That father plans to step down and make you the head clan!"
Tia's eyes grew big, surprised at Merlin's words. His father never wanted to step down, and all the clan members wanted Merlin to be the head, not Tia.
"Who told you that? Father didn't plan on stepping down! And you know I don't have any plans on becoming the head!" Tia explained the truth to Merlin.
Merlin couldn't believe what she had heard. She doubted herself, questioning all of her decisions. Klaus' devilish laugh was heard in their location, and Merlin closed her eyes, smiling. It doesn't matter as long as I get to be the Queen. She opened her eyes and looked at her sister.
Tia saw the change in Merlin and how her eyes looked. So in the end, that's what she chose, she said to herself.
"It doesn't matter. I don't regret what I've done and am planning to do," Merlin said. She lifted her broom, mumbled a few words, and the broom changed into a wand. Tia picked a branch of a tree and made it with her wand.
"The results will be the same," Tia said, preparing herself for Merlin's attack.
"Everything changes, sister," Merlin said, emphasizing the word sister. Merlin cast a spell first but was stopped by their spell Tia.
"DIE!" Merlin shouted, casting a spell on Tia that could kill her with one hit. Tia cast the same spell and rode her broom. She was flying in the air, waving her wand, making the cloud turn black. It was her favorite spell, the use of lightning. The clouds turned black, lightning struck everything on the ground, the wind got more robust, and you could hear the thunder from the skies.
Tia waved her wand again, and the clouds turned into a whirlpool in the skies. She was summoning bigger and stronger lightning. Some of the trees bent, and some flew from the ground.
Merlin stayed on her stop, her hair and dress being blown away, but she remained calm. She closed her eyes, mumbling some words. Tia pointed her want to Merlin, who was standing below her. The lightning quickly went down to strike Merlin.
Merlin opened her eyes, pointed her wand to the lightning, and shouted the last words of her spell. Her spell hit the lightning, causing a tremendous explosion, but Tia's lightning was stronger. Merlin got struck by lightning and by the blast. Her eyes rolled back, and she fell to the ground.
Tia looked down and frowned at her sister. "No spell can stop my lightning, sister," She said, copying how Merlin emphasized the word sister. It was to mock her. She stared at her sister's body and flew back to the battlefield.
Clara's POV
Erik and Klaus were busy fighting each other, Vincent came to us, and now I was being protected by these three giving me some time to recover. My body was not ready for my powers since I'm still not entirely a royal. My body is still a Luna, and I need to mark Erik for us to be considered royals.
"Half of our power has been recovered," Angeline informed me. I closed my eyes, widened my hearing, and connected it to my sight. I could see the whole battlefield, and our pack was at a disadvantage. I helped the ones who were in a pinch, pinning their enemies. We lost too much, and most of our warriors are not in great shape. The rogues are too many, they are weaker than our warriors, but they are too many. I can also see that our warriors are exhausted. I looked at Erik, who was fighting Klaus. He had sustained some injuries. Erik is not weak, but when you look at their fight, it's like Erik is like a little kid. This is not good and may affect the warriors' morals.
I tried to stand up, but my legs did not have the same idea. "Clara!" Vincent said. "Don't force it!" He added, worrying about my weakened state. I need to get up, and I need to go to my mate. It's the only way, we need to follow the correct procedure, but this is not the time to think about the process. I was thinking about the lives of my pack and my mate. I forced myself to stand up until I managed to stand up. I calmed my breathing and looked at the sky, hoping Tia was there. As I looked, I saw Tia flying at high speed to our location. I smiled at her even though she couldn't see it.
Tia came rushing and looked at us from above, looking for her mate. She saw me together with Vincent and came flying down to us. "Tia, I need your help," I asked, not wasting any second.
"It looks bad from above," She said, informing me of the situation. "I know. That's why I am asking for your help. Can you cast some spells on our warriors to get them stronger?" I asked to hope for a good response.
"I can, but it's only for five minutes," She said. "That's more than enough," I said, smiling at her. I was about to walk when I felt another pain in my heart.
"Clara!" Tia shouted and supported me in standing up. "Are you okay?" She asked, looking at me from head to toe for any signs of injuries.
It was so painful. "Another one of us died," I croaked, trying not to let my tears fall. Vincent and Ian whimpered, hearing that another one had passed away. I held Tia's hand, which was supporting me, and squeezed it. "We don't have much time," I said, looking straight at Tia's eyes. Tia gulped and nodded at me. I balanced myself to stand on my own and smiled at Tia while removing her hands supporting me.
"Vincent and Ian, can you hold Klaus for a few minutes for me? Farkas, you support me," I ordered. It was the first time that I used my authority as a Luna. They looked at me seriously and then nodded. Both Vincent and Ian rushed to where Erik and Klaus were fighting. I breathed and looked at Farkas, nodding at him. I shifted to my wolf form and ran to where Erik was while Farkas was behind me, supporting me and killing the rogues trying to attack me.
I used my powers to pin down the enemies, and Farkas killed them. I looked around and checked the surroundings. I saw our pack fighting off the rogues thanks to Tia's support.
"Erik!" I mind-linked my mate. "Don't come! Something is off. Klaus's is growing stronger by the second," Erik replied, worrying about me. As I got near, I saw Vincent and Ian intervene in their fight and face Klaus themselves. Then Erik looked at me, who was coming near. Erik glanced at the battle between the two Klaus and then back at me. He ran to meet me halfway, and when I got near him, I instantly marked him.
Third person's POV
Erik was surprised and whimpered at the pain of being marked. Clara licked the area where she marked Erik, and he licked back Clara, telling her it was okay.
"What is that for?" Erik asked but suddenly felt something within him. His eyes grew big, surprised at the sudden power he was feeling. Erik clenched his teeth to the pain, and his bones were stretching. He was getting bigger and bigger.
Clara grunted. Her wolf form is also getting change. Not long when all the pack members whined, whimpered, and howled at the pain they felt.
Klaus stood there, couldn't believe what he was seeing. All of his plans were crumbling down in front of him. The warriors' injuries healed so fast that they were surprised at how fine they were feeling. They all caught their breath after feeling intense pain due to the transformation and were shocked at their leader's look. Clara and Erik's wolf fur turned brighter, shiny, and had a bit of gold color in their black and white fur.
Without any question, the werewolves who witnessed the transformation quickly understood what happened. All of them have one word in mind, Royals. Klaus couldn't accept what happened and became more desperate. He growled, feeling frustrated, howled at his rogues, giving them a signal to finish them all but the rogues didn't move.
They became hesitant to fight the royals, and the warriors growled at the rogues. Someone moved and attacked the warriors but died in a blink of an eye. The scene struck fear in the other rogues, and they ran away. Not believing what Klaus had witnessed, his face turned red due to anger.
Klaus desperately tried to attack Erik but failed. Vincent stopped him immediately, only using one paw. Pinned to the ground, Klaus struggles, trying to get out of Vincent's hold. Accepting that he couldn't fight back anymore, he shifted back to his human form. Erik and Clara walked towards Klaus and looked down at him.
Clara barked and growled at Klaus, slowly advancing toward him. Klaus raised his head to look at Clara and smiled.
"Don't be so arrogant," Klaus said and laughed devilishly. Erik walked closer to Klaus and scratched and smacked his face using one paw. Klaus spat some blood and glared at Erik.
Hearing countless whimpers and some howling made Merlin come to her senses. She survived the attack on Tia but was severely injured. Struggling to stand up, Merlin leaned on trees to make herself stand up. Merlin's body was full of blood, and worrying about her mate was the only thing in her mind. She held onto trees to help her walk, dragging her right leg while walking.
Klaus saw Merlin at the back of the warriors, catching her breath and leaning onto a tree for support. Klaus laughed again at Erik, then glanced at Tia. He laughed so hard that the werewolves thought of him as a crazy rogue.
"Do you think that you've won?" Klaus said, smirking at Erik.
The newly born royals shifted back to their human form. They emitted some extraordinary aura, and Tia flicked her fingers to put some clothes on them.
"You've lost Klaus, and I will behead you and offer you to the graves of my parents, my whole former pack," Clara said.
"You thought that you've won, huh?" Klaus said and laughed harder than ever. "It's not over yet, and it will never be over until I get what is mine!" Klaus shouted while smiling at both of them.
"Let's meet again, royals," Klaus exclaimed, emphasizing the word royals.
Erik's eyes grew big, and he glanced back. He saw Merlin and barked at her. Ian immediately ran to catch Merlin, and Erik glanced back at Klaus, still pinned down on the ground.
"Too late," Klaus said. Erik attacked Klaus but failed because Klaus instantly vanished into thin air. They looked back at Merlin, only to find that she had disappeared with Klaus.
Erik clenched his teeth with anger and for being careless.
